1st FA Pickup Prediction

We all know there are alot of needs but who do they target first. This FO is aggressive and they seem to have a plan ready who to target from the start. Just like Smiley I would expect them to have someone they go after at 12:01am the 1st day of FA.

What position will it be?

I say it is clear BP is on a mission to revamp the LB's and he will go after one right away. I know center could be an option but my prediction is LB!

First FA signed will be Austin.

The biggest name they target is Dansby.

The 'biggest name/but no one seems to really know much about him' target is Jason Brown.

I really see a FA like last year; Dansby will probably get a couple of calls from BP, but if the price is way too high, then I don't think we get him.

If the price is right on Brown, then he is a definite Dolphin in 09.

Austin is a Dolphins...period.

Canty makes sense due to the Dallas connection, but I say no dice. We just drafted 2 DE's, and I don't think we spend the bucks on him.
Though I am open to rationale as to how he would fit with what we have already, and if he fits with the two young guys, I could change my mind.

I'm struggling with the thoughts of going after an avg WR as our top of the gate FA pickup. Last year it was Smiley because the middle of our line was/is the top priority. A #2 or #3 WR cannot be our top priority!

If WR is our top target then we should be targeting a #1 WR. I say it's someone on the line or a LB. Who that player is I'm not sure. Dansby seems like he is in it for the money. I don't think he is that good to be paid top dollar.
