Love the pick... Anybody that watches big 10 football knows he was undeniable to watch on defense. I don't care if he ever registers a sack, he instantly commands double teams every play and you can't move this guy at all. Not to mention cat like quickness for a guy this size. Day 1 starter with top 5 potential. Access to an nfl weight room is only going to unlock this kids potential even further.

Day 2 Mock Draft
Dolphins trade Jalen Ramsey to the eagles for pick #64

#48 Airontae Ersery OT Minnesota
#64 Darian Porter CB Iowa State
#98 Marcus Mbow OG Purdue

This is my pick because he is a perfect fit in this zone blocking scheme and he can play Guard or Tackle.

I’d really dislike taking Darien Porter. He’s 24 years old, a 6 year senior who only started full time at CB for one season. He was basically a glorified special teams player until his 6th college season.

There’s some really good cornerback talent in the second and third round range (Morrison, Amos, Thomas, Parrish, Nohl Williams, etc.). He is the one I’d most want to stay away from.

I like that trio of picks if it happens.

lol at the Ramsey trade. He will get a 5th round if they can find a trade partner. Fans here have zero clue what players are worth.

I know right.

I mean, many are saying Ramsey will only get a 5th because of that 1 tweet

Love Porter's upside but he scares me. I'd go Zah Frazier late instead. Despite the injury concerns I'd prefer Morrison. He's a dog and a ball hawk. Is Mbow the future OC in this scenario?

Sounds exactly like Noah Igbinoghene.

I haven't seen many WR to CB converts actually be successful in NFL.

Sherman was a different dude, and wasn't really a fast guy, but he excelled with physicality and was able to get away with being "handsy" in that legion of boom defense.

We've tried the converts multiple times over the years and the result hasn't fared well for us. We tried Travis Daniels who was very slow and not physical, and Igbo and we all know how that fared.

Get a guy who knows his craft and has spent years refining it, would be the best route.

I see Porter as a tall guy needing lots of development, and we need a corner ready to go now, especially if we use a day 2 pick, on day 2 we need starters that can make impact plays now, not hopefully 4 years from now.
