1) seau has a lower calf injury, could be achillies related (don't know what the hell that means but its what has been reported) and it appears as he could miss considerable time. the way he's played thus far, that's a considerable hit to our run defense. will crowder move to the weak side and spragan back to the starter at slb? can spragan get it done? or does he suck and that's why crowder, being a rookie, was so easily able to take his starting job?
2) the secondary. we need to get a corner. somehow, some way, we've got to acquire or find another cb. this could be the diffrence between making or not making the playoffs. there is speculation that howard is going to be dropped to #4 on the depth chart after yet another poop performance against carolina. they are going to give eddie jackson a shot. kiwaukee thomas was inactive. anyone have any new info on him? the sorry *** reporters at the saban PCs never ask the **** we need to know. also, tebucky has a hamstring strain and missed considerable time yesterday. tilman, who took his place, missed the tackle on steve smith that went for the 60 yard td. if we can't stay healthy at safety we are very, very screwed. i would not be as concerned if we could generate a pass rush from our front 4, but that has been no existant this year.
i wouldn't really care about either of this situations if we were headed for 5-11 or 6-10, but we're not. we've got a legitimate chance to make a run at a wild card and these 2 issues i mentioned could be the deciding factors.
