Along with Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, former LSU QB and backup at Denver, was released today. This gives us two former quarterbacks who were under Saban's helm that are now on the FA list. Does anyone think we will pick one of these former LSU standouts up? :confused:
 
I honestly hope we don't sign any LSU QB's. Why? Because I want Saban to take the better pro, not the guy he liked in college. Steve Spurrier was much too loyal to his Florida base, and I don't think any of his ex-Gators had much success with him.

thats exactly what sabans doing. He's known for some time now that Davey was going to be available. However, Nick Sabans not about to go after a Pro that Bill Belicheck didn't think was worthy of being on his own team.

Wasn't Matt Mauck the QB for Saban's national championship team. I thought he quit football and decided to become a dentist or something <---not trying to be funny, I think I remember hearing that while watching a game a few years ago.

except that he was cut as a safety.

Saban explained that they ran so much at lsu last year because Marcus was so erratic
 
Matt was going to be a Dentist if football didn't work out.
 
We are not running LSU's offfense. We are running Linehan's.

We need to look for old backups from Minny. I thought there was one (not Cunningham or Brad Johnson either) who was pretty good. but I cant remember who.
