This is on Feeley. You'll learn a lot about the guy. Two quotes that stuck out to me is Konrad's:

IV. Fullback Rob Konrad: "I'm the last player on offense to play here with [Dan Marino], and his demeanor in the huddle reminds me a little of Dan in the huddle. A little bit of a gamer, a cowboy. He won't always make the read against a cover-two [defense], like Dan, but he can make the play work. I'm not saying he's Dan, of course. But what [Feeley] can do is when a play breaks down sling the ball in there, where it needs to go. Dan used to come to the huddle sometimes and say, `Get ready, you're getting the ball' before he saw the defense. He just knew. And he'd get you it."

and McMichaels:

V. Tight end Randy McMichael: "Last week, when A.J. was put in the game he came up to me and said, `Get ready, I'm coming to you.' He did, too."

This is on Gordon, not as great, but good stuff. Two notable quotes are :

Who is Lamar Gordon?

Moutry [a close freind] doesn't think the NFL has any clue yet, because Gordon hasn't really been healthy until now, a month after ankle surgery. Last Saturday, Moutry saw the explosion he hasn't seen since college, notably on two runs -- one when Gordon was hit in the backfield and lunged forward for a first down and another when he sidestepped two defenders to make a big loss a small one.

"What you saw last week was just a glimpse," Moutry promises. "He will get to the line faster than Ricky did. Once the linemen make that adjustment, he doesn't need a big hole."

and:

Can he fill the one left by Williams? If he is a "young Curtis Martin," as Moutry suggests, that would do fine. Gordon says there were some "ugly" moments in practice last week as he adjusted to coaching points and his linemen. But the adjustment to being The Man should be easier after two awkward seasons as a spot starter and occasional fullback.

If our Fin Fan hopes came true, these guys will be together a while. Let's hope. :D

love the feeley talk, and you could jsut see a difference in the team when feeley was out there last week... he def seems like a no nonsense lets get it done type in the huddle... nice article...

Great articles.... Am i the only person who is optimistic about this season? Talent wise I think we're just as good as last year. If this Oline can gel... man we'll be as tough as ever!

Hope Feeley says to Chambers, Booker and McMichael..."get ready its coming to you" in the enzone!!" now that wud be nice. Hope Feeley gets his prime time game and shows the doubters he's got the juice.

I just hope he throws for over 300 yds, 3 td and 0 interceptions That wouldbe the confidence builder he needs and the teams needs to have in him.

I thought what he said about seeing Daryl Gardener across the line was hysterical!!

"Don't look over there. Don't look over there."

great articles...ty for posting espescially the feeley stuff. i LOVED that feeley was using mcmichael last week so many times. too bad he fumbled...who knows how that drive woulda ended.

im pumped for tonights game. im sick of all the smacktalk about our phins. its time for a new era , the 4 year "experiment" needs to be over

NIce, I like how Konrad said Marino told the reciver he was going to them before reading th defense, and then thats what feely did to McMichael..

Jason Coles Story in the Herald

Here is a few snippet on AJ from the Herald...

Feeley walks with confidence and reacts to mistakes with a steely glare of someone who is unfazed by failure.

As a rookie in 2001, Feeley got to play in a late-season game against Tampa Bay. On his first play, he took a hit to the chin. Though bloody, he went on to throw two touchdown passes and rallied the Eagles to a 17-13 win.

''He has some swagger to him, which you want. You certainly don't want your quarterback being doe-eyed,'' Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress said.

Even if the Eagles did it mostly with defense, some very experienced NFL people like what Feeley did.

''It was all gloom and doom at the time, and this kid comes in and wins,'' said former Green Bay general manager Ron Wolf, who scouted Feeley after he was a fifth-round pick by Philadelphia. ``I liked what I saw from him. I give the Dolphins a lot of credit. It was a gutsy move. But it's what they say, no guts, no glory.''
