Losses at Cincinnati and at Indianapolis on Sunday.
“Your disappointed because you’ve got two games where you’re sitting there going, well, 5-6, or 7-4,” Gase said dejectedly. “So it’s a [crappy] feeling.”
It feels bad for the Dolphins because they had fourth-quarter leads in both games and lost them. Both those leads evaporated inside the final 12 minutes of the game.
And both those games could spell the difference between the Dolphins making the playoffs or missing the postseason for the second time in Gase’s three seasons as coach.
But here’s the thing: Both those games have a common theme in that what happened has a direct tie to Miami’s starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
No, I’m not saying both loses should be pinned on Tannehill, although the loss to the Bengals certainly was on him and he has taken responsibility for it.

The loss to NE was all I needed to see. It showed how much of a mirage of 3-0 we were. That sealed the deal for me. I watched it and went, "Yep, same old Fins we have seen for year"
Me too unfortunately. I had really hoped and believed that the Dolphins were going to fight hard and definitely could win. They showed up that weak and soft, in front of the country, with an opportunity to show this is a different team. It exposed the truth of the team and everything unraveled after that.

Changes are coming next year and it is NOT Gase. I want to see Gase with a good QB, I have seen Tannehill without Gase and that is aweful.

Gase said himself it had more to do with field position than anything else.

Gase isn’t going anywhere next year. Handpicked by Ross. I think the FO will try 1-2 more years with Gase.

It’s unfortunate but I agree. That’s why people need to stop buying ****ing tickets.

I don't think Gase would succeed with a Hall of Fame quarterback if he keeps doing what he's doing. Our game plans are horrible and so are adjustments and don't even go to play calling.

Unless that quarterback has balls of stone to question a lot of the crappy calls he'll never succeed in this league as head coach.

Yep. I'm going to be honest I didn't go into that game expecting a win, or needing a win to be hopeful. What we needed was to at least be competitive and play those guys until the end on their field for once. That game told me all I needed to know about this team going forward: same old.

Pats game was a huge indicator. Few things went wrong for us early. Parker decided he couldn’t play right before the game and then there were some very questionable calls on X and the team. How did the team react to adversity? It folded like a lawn chair. Completely fell apart. That’s on gase.

This 100% falls at the feet of Gase. Don't give me that crap!

A HC/OC Job is to put his players/team in the best position to WIN!
How? By truly understanding his personnel, by understanding the match-ups, by understanding the game situation and by understanding the down and distance

There is NO ONE on this board that can say in all honesty Gase has been even marginal in that regard.

If the guy at the very top isn't even half-decent at his job then how could any responsible manager blame any of his players for not being decent at their jobs?

It's called accountability at it starts at the top!

If Gase was checking most of his boxes and things weren't working then NOW we can start calling out players.
