the 2 key offseason acquisitions (IMO) i wish we would've made this offseason was signing:

CB R.W. McQuarters
&
QB Mike McMahon

RW Mcquarters is starting in Detriot, when he could've been starting here right now...the guy has great speed and can still be considered a starting caliber CB...Not to mention he wasn't asking for "Ty Law" type of money...

Mike McMahon is a QB i've always liked since his days with Detriot...I think alot of people are underestimating this guy and now it looks like he is going to be starting in Philly...He actually showed glimpses of what he brings on the last couple of plays on MNF football...had Reggie Brown, not dropped the ball, Mike McMahon puts them in FG range to win the game...

Both players could have came cheap or at least for a reasonable amount of money....now they're getting a chance to start elsewhere...and both players are/will be playing a huge part for their teams

Bottom Line...Both players are now starting for other teams and "could've" or "would've" doesn't count...keep in mind, both could've been starting for Miami right now

:shakeno:

I agree about McMahon... We should have cut Rosenfels or Feeley, and brought in both Frerotte (since he knows the system) and McMahon because of his potential.

i like rw since the day he was drafted by san fran and think he could fit well. I give a def no to Mike. I don't care if we spend every draft pick, trade away half are team and give out a $200 million contract to a QB, we need a Definite #1 or someone like Rivers who has been #2, but not because of a lack of talent.

I agree, R.W. woulda been a sweet aquisition. But it is what it is. And what it is, is we don't have either of them. Mike woulda been a waste of money IMO no more guys unable to start on lackluster teams. We need a real legit starter, no fakes or has-beens

We did think about making that move. In hindsight it would have been nice.

I will edit this a little, I don't want the words "potential" and "Miami Dolphins starting QB" in the same sentance anymore.

Isn't RW starting at FS?

yeah he is thier Safety now...i guess he was kinda slow to be a Cb but he is doing very good with that though...and he is a slide better than our safty corpes

plaxico burress, anyone? :(

No doubt. However, making a fair assesment, going into the season, no one assumed we would need WR help....Almost everyone contemplated on how stacked we were in the WR position...

We had a chance to sign RW McQuarters after Poole was injured, and we had the chance to go after McMahon before we even went after Frerrotte.

McMahon would have been a good alternative to Frerotte. He is young and has played pretty well when given a chance. He was stuck when Detriot drafted Harrington and started him despite his poor play. Whenever he has played he has played pretty good, certainly better than any Qb on our roster. People need to stop acting stupid about Qbs, getting a good young talented Qb is always a good thing. Who cares if hes not the next Eli or BigBen? Hes still an upgrade and theres no big contract to worry about, we could still sign a highpriced Qb or draft one. Bringing in Frerotte gave us literally nothing, no future Qb, no playoffs, no nothing, why even bring him in instead of a young guy like McMahon? Frerotte is the only decision I really have disagreed with Saban on, there was no reason to bring him in to a 4 win team and try to win what 2 or 3 more games if we are lucky? Didnt do us any good.

ty law is going to be free again this year the jets have to trim down the money they are in cap hell, i rather get rid of madison and sign law

Yeah on McMahon. Total gamer. I have been waiting for him to get a legit shot.

I think Chambers needs to go. He had a "sit down" with Saban before the Pats game and he still dropped easy passes. At best he is a number two wide out, and Booker is better than him. Trade him for a clutch wideout and we'll bo alright.
