We coudl be 4-1 right now if we scored on 4th and goal against the Jets and stopped teh 4th and 2 this past weekend. Imagine how great that would be.....As frustrating as this is, it at least means that we're playing extremely competive football and we appear to be well on our way. Instead of dwelling on this i think we should stay positive. We're experiencing the ups and downs of an nfl season and thats what makes being a football fan so great. Were one win against a very beatable ravens team from being 3-3 and i think we'd all sign up for that after last years misery. Stay up guys.:up:

Yeah people freak way to quick. They automatically thought since we were 2-2 after four games we were going to the playoffs. I still don't think thats out of the question. They must have forgot we were 1-15 last year, regardless of what happens we are a much improved team and we'll only get better.

and last we were 3 points away in 7 games from bein 8-8, instead of 1-15 which we were. Woulda coulda shoulda, no one cares.
2-3, trying to go for 3-3 this weekend against the Ravens . . . those are the facts, and thats what I am looking at right now . . . if I think about what could have been . . . you will remind me of the 2002 season . . . which I thought I blocked out until u made this thread . . . Thanks!!

As Bonedoc said in an earlier post similar to this; The Miami Dolphins are playing signifigant, relevant games right now, and, that's all that matters at this point.
And we could also be one failed goal line stand away from 1-4, if you want to look at it that way. Our record IS an indication of how "good" our team is. The great teams find a way to finish off the close games....we're not great. Yet, we're not horrible like last year either. We're a much better team than a season ago, but to be an elite team, we've got to find a way to WIN those close games. So I don't think you can play devil's advocate now and say "we could have" or "should've had" this record, because it can go either way. If we WERE 4-1, it's because we would've found a way to win those close games, but we didn't. Case closed.

As it sits now.. I hope those loses linger in the minds of the players and make them correct those little things that could swing a game into our favor. Not to mention.. coaches as well.
Very good post....and very true! At the same rate, we HAVE to figure out how to close these games out like any good team would be able to do. We lost a handful of games last year by 3 points or less. Things are going to solidify as the season goes on and hopefully we can lock these games away by running out the clock
Actually Miami is two dumb a$$ pass plays away from being 4-1, the bomb by Favre and the pass this week to Johnson. Regardless the Phins are actually playing good ball and there is a lot to be excited about going forward. I'll stick to my guns, 8-8 is a huge improvement and anything better is the home run ball this year. Well on pace for that and the whole attitude of the team is three fold better than last season. Go Phins!
