Ignore This Post!!!

NOT AN ACCURATE POST... I am deleting this and the go and beat my head against a WALL!!!

Sorry for ther confusion!!!:goof:

i think it has to be the chargers beating the chiefs.

win tiebreaker with chargers cause we beat them and lose it with cheifs cause we lost to them.

Some of this is wrong. It is just going to confuse people more. If this happened there would be many ways we would not go because of tie breakers. NYCPhan's was so complex because the situatuions are that complex.

NYCPHAN posted a GREAT in depth write up of how the FINS can get to the playoffs 2 different ways. He broke down the each approach in GREAT detail including tiebreaker scenarios!!! WELL DONE NYCPHAN!!!

However, seems that there alot of posters out here that don't seem to undestand the details so I thought I would try to simplify, in lamen's terms what the man said.

We have 2 differnt ways that we can reach the playoffs...

Scenario 1 is that the FINS win out and the PASTIES lose out! Now the only REAL challenge here is that the PATSIES will have to lose to the CARGO CARRIERS and that seems to be a stretch, but on any given Sunday...

Scenario 2 is as follows:

KC has to lose 2 of 3:
They have the GIANTS this weekend (In NYC)
They have SD the next (@ home)
They finish with the the BENGALS (@ home)

SD has to lose 2 of 3:
They have the COLTS this weekend (In Indy)
They have KC the next (In KC)
They finish with the BRONCOS (@ Home)

STEELERS have to lose 2 of 3:
They have the VIKINGS this weekend (In Minny)
They have the BROWNS next, (and this game they have to lose to not win the tie breaker) (In Cleveland)
They finish with the LIONS (@ home)

I believe that the VIKINGS can beat the STEELERS. The real stretch here is the STEELERS losing to the BROWNS!

In both scenarios, we are depending on a SUB PAR team beating a winning team... The question is, which will do it? The CARGO CARRIERS or the DOGS?
the Browns have been playing well lately, they gave the Bengals a run for their money and held Palmer under 100 yards. I like #2 more than #1, both SD and KC are likely to lose 2 games but the only thing is the Browns must beat the Steelers which I find likely if Fyre can keep up the good play

but both KC and PITT would hold tie breakers over Miami so those two teams must lose out and SD has to lose 2 games (we hold the tie breaker on them)

Pittsburgh DOES NOT hold tiebreakers over Miami. If both Miami and Pittsburgh finish 9-7 and Pittsburgh loses to Cleveland, Miami holds the tiebreaker with a better conference record.

Dude the Browns haven't won a game since they beat us.

All,

PLEASE REFERENCE NYCPHAN's write up... There were a couple of things that need to be taken into account... Like SD beating KC and another scenario with KC beating SD..

Sorry for the confusion... MY BAD!!!:couch3:

See lol people are getting confused. I didn't mean to be an a** but the tiebreakers effect the scenarios by a lot and it gets confusing.

No, but you could just edit the first post in the thread.

EDIT:  I see you already did that.

true but they played both the Jags and the Bengals tough and both of which are better teams than the Steelers

I didn't know thats good to here but KC must lose out and SD and PITT have to lose 2 of 3 games

KC does not have to lose out. They can win any one of their games. But if that win is against SD, then SD must win against Denver. That would give SD the tiebreak over KC for 2nd place in their division at 9-7, and eliminate KC first in any tie at 9-7.

I updated my sticky post to include something similar to what was originally posted at the top of this thread. The original post here wasn't inaccurate, it just wasn't quite complete either.
