I am sure all Dolphin fans remember 20 years ago tonight!!! Probably Marino's greatest moment as a fin.

The 72 legacy was preserved..

I miss those days just like everyone else does!!!

Yes thanks for the reminder, I hadn't been born yet at the time, but it's an event I wish I had been part of...

I loved it, being from Illinois thats all you heard about. Loved rubbing it in to all my Bear fan friends. But they did get the last laugh, Superbowl win.
 
I was a little kid and I still remember that game... It is by far the best Monday nighter ever. GOOD POST
 
Yes I was 11 years old when the game occured. I still remember my mother yelling at me to go to bed because I had school the next morning.

Needless to say i disobeyed her and got in trouble for it. Its a shame she didn't understand the meaning of that game.
 
I watched it with a pal of mine who was a big Bears fan. He was very quiet in the second half.
Of course, he got the last laugh in Jan 86.
 
I was 5 years old...not quite aware yet of how great the Dolphins team was then.
 
My uncle's got some crazy theory that he WANTS the COlts to go undefeated cause he thinks that our 72 season is a curse to the Dolphins that doesn't allow them to win. HE says, in 72-we were perfect. In 73, we went to the SB and lost. 81-SB and Lost. & 85 SB and lost. and haven't been back since because of it.

We won the next Superbowl also over the Vikes 24-7
 
bring back shula, get your history right my brotha. the year after we beat the redskins we beat the vikings in houston for the super bowl. and we lost to the redskins in the 82-83 super bowl. i wasnt even alive in the early 70's and i know that. some say our 73 team was better than our 72 team.
 
I was there for both '72 and '73 and I can assure you that if both teams were at full strength, the '73 team WAS better than the '72 team. They lost 2 games only because of injury and sitting starters to get ready for the playoffs.

We actually, though, went undefeated in '72 with a BACKUP QB starting most of the season. Anyone venture to think that the Colts would be undefeated right now with Jim Sorgi playing instead of Manning?
