Last year I got ripped for predicting 7-9 during the preseason before Ricky left, which in retrospect I deserved for being so nice about Wanny's last year here dismantling the team..

Well this year I'm very optimistic about our chances. I really like the way Saban has taken control of this team and love our coaching staff, from top to bottom.
With Ricky and Brown in our backfied, we will have one of the most formidable 1-2 punches in the NFL, and if things work out well, perhaps one of the all time great 1-2 running back combos in league history. Feely and Ferrote should have a lot more time to throw the ball with a revamped OL, but most importantly a OL that is well coached and ready to play. Our recieving corps are another strength if Boston, Chambers, McMichael and Booker play to their potential and our offense should be very well balanced with a mix of solid running which in turn should open up our passing game via play action passes and bombs. Our D is looking great, I love the new additions such as Roth and I think our CB's will step up to the challenge with Surtain gone..

All in all, I haven't had this much excitment about the team since the 2nd year of the Wanny regime. I really think we have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs, but will make this conservative prediction.. 9-7, we just miss it, with 06 looking like a Super Bowl possibility :)

We are going to shock some people with how well we play but with our schedule I think 8-8 9-7 and that will be a great start for Saban imo...We could see 10-6 but we would need some help from our own division with one of them falling off significantly and I dont see that.
