Alright ladies! Put your "bets" in!

I'll start off by throwing my hat waaaay out there... 4.8 yards per carry.

Also, I'll go so far as to suggest we may be the first team since almost forever ('85 Browns, I think) with TWO BACKS OVER 1000 YARDS!!!

Now THAT would be sweeeeet! :D

UPDATE - Poll is for TEAM AVERAGE YARDS PER CARRY.

We have two backs with the potential to both have 1000 yds each,
but because our offense will attack more:ie pass more,I don't
think they will get the carries to do it.

is this for ricky, or ronnie, or the entire team or just ricky and ronnie combined, what?

team average...4.2...we're going to roll over people on the ground. May not be enough to score points and win games but, it's going to be brutal for the opposing defenses.

The funny thing was people kept talking about how bad our running game was last year and it was at 3.5 a carry. Ricky Average 3.5 a carry with us the previous season. SO I blame the passing game more, for not converting 3rd downs and the D not stopping the run. Even with Ricky last year maybe we win one more game thats it. He performed the same as our backs did last year he just got a whole lot more attempts cause the O was moving the chains.

an entire TEAM average usually never gets above like 4.5... thats high for a team average... i'll say the average in the league is like 3.9, i think we'll be a little better than that so ima say 4.2

WE HAVE A WINNER - errr, I mean HOMER!!! :rofl3:

Man, I though I was bad with my 4.8 YPC, but 4.9 (or higher)?!?!?

I gotta hand it to whomever it is... now I can finally rest... knowing...

There IS a bigger homer out there than me!

With Ricky missing the first 4 games he'l only play in 12 games. He would have to average 83.33 yards per game to reach 1000 yards. And when Ricky comes back he'll be the backup? If Ricky averages 5.0 yards percarry he'll have to carry the ball at least 16 times a game. As a backup? I can definetly see Brown getting a 1000 yards. But not Ricky.

By the way, I just want to explain the rationale (totally homerish that it is) for my suggesting 4.8 YPC.

Also, some of you might have noticed the TEAM with the highest average of FREAK'N 5.3 YPC...

Yep! Minnesota. Hmmm, and who was their Offensive Coord? Oh yeah! The guy who is now OUR Offensive Coord! Nice! :D

Maybe I'm not being such homer after all.

Besides Priest Holmes and Clinton Portis, OL line play is another factor in Denver and KC averaging over 5.0 ypc in 2002. KC had two probowlers(Willie Roaf and Will Shields) and Denver's OL play is notorious over the last several years for excellence.
