Agree with you on toughness and leadership. I'll make it a point to tune into a couple of Bama games this year and watch him play more closely. I know there isn't a ton of talent around Croyle so maybe he is better than he has looked. I really like Leinart, but there is no question he has a ton of weapons at his disposal. Still, he certainly appears to have everything you'd want in a qb except maybe for mobility. I love how he leads his receivers and seems to know when to take something off his throws. Looks like he has great field vision as well. The fact that Carson Palmer hasn't yet blossomed with Cincy may be a concern, though.

So since the college season is upon us, who else should I watch at the qb position. Would love any input.

Here's a brief list of the qb's to watch for in college this year:

The Obvious :
Leinhart (In response to what was said about my Palmer Leinhart comparison: Cincy averaged 27 PPG over its last 3 including a great performance vs NE. Kid's got all the tools and imo will make the pro bowl this year behind Manning and Green)
Jacobs
Young (imo yuck but whatever)
Vick (see young)
Leak (see vick)

The Unspectacular But Steady:
Brad Smith
Drew Tate
Reggie McNeal ( i should slap myself for leaving him off my original list)
Tyler Palko
Brodie Croyle
Drew Olson
Bruce Gradkowski
Sam Keller

Yeah theyre coming out but no one really gives a damn
Charlie Whitehurst (overhyped garbage)
Rick Claussen (he probably wont win the Tennessee job over Ainge)

Im sure I missed a few but generally speaking thats the majority of the important players for next years possible qbs, some of which are underclassmen.

2007 Watch List
Chad Henne
Erik Ainge
