2007 3 Round Mock

Off to the draft forum

No offense but your mock is very biased towards the fins. THere is no way that the Raiders AND the Titans would both pass on Calvin.

That will never happen. I don't see us finishing with the 6th pick, as nice as that would be, and I don't think Saban would be able to justify drafting a receiver when we have weaknesses that require more attention at other positions.

Merriweather I could see, but I think he's undersized and I don't think Saban wants to put a smallish safety back in our secondary. I love Merriweather, but I also have some questions about character with him too. And that's not to do with the Miami fight, but he fired a weapon at a guy over the summer with Cooper got shot down in Miami, I know it was legal, but if he carries a gun or needs to carry one that sets off some red flags for me.

Also, it's abbreviated to Bucs, not Buccs. And it's too early to project much of anything, but I like the effort.

It's impossible to even predict Draft order in the NFL this year. There are so many average teams (32 of them), and I think this last week proved that. The "good" teams lose or win close games against the "bad" teams. So much parity in the NFL. Pretty much every team in the NFC, and almost every team in the AFC could end up in the playoffs if the season continues like it is.

I dont know if we need another S, i think that we might have found a SS in Bell and Allen will be starting at FS in the next couple games im sure,

I believe this may be the first Mock of the year. Thanks for sharing. :)

The first mock??? NOOOOO...check the draft forum out.

If Calvin Johnson fell to pick #6 I would eat my shoe.

Jake Long and Quentin Moses as top 10 also isn't very likely.

Brian Brohm all the way down at #28 is a joke.

I seriously doubt Brandon Merriweather goes that high, and least of all to us, especially in light of the play of Yeremiah Bell.

I would be pretty surprised if Marcus Thomas hits R3 but you know it has to be possible if the guy screws up some more.

i would love to get thomas in the third even though our dline is a strength. as a noles fan i havent watched the gators much but i remember one game where this guy was in the backfield reaking havoc every single play. he would be a steal in the third if he can stay outta trouble

Well lets see about the teams that have worst records than Miami. Cardinals have Boldin and Fitzgerald so they probably wouldn't drafy Johnson; Raiders have Moss and Poter so they don't need Johnson; Lions would never pass on Quinn and we know their history of drafting receivers; Buccs have Galloway and Clayton. Good people fall in the draft all the time. Brohm that low a joke? What about Aaron Rodgers two years ago? It's unlikeley. It is easy to criticize a Mock. Noone would have guessed Mario Williams #1 last year and Leinart falling, it happens, thats why we love it

Calvin could slip, but why? Titans and especially Raiders could use him. Porter is a joke in Oakland and the Titans have Drew Bennett and an oft-injured David Givens for next season with little depth thereafter.
