I was checking out the 2007 draft and who got selected and it would be neat to go back and redo the Dolphins draft in GOD MODE How would your draft look and how would it differ from the real Dolphin draft.

Here are my choices.

WITH THE NINTH SELECTION IN THE 2007 DRAFT THE MIAMI DOLPHINS SELECT.........................:err:

BRADY QUINN QB
bradyquinn-1.jpg

2nd Steve Smith WR USC
2nd Samson Satelie C Hawaii
3rd Lorenzo Booker RB-KR-PR FSU
4th Zak DeOssie LB Brown
6th Reagan Maui Hawaii
7th Chase Pittman DE LSU
7th Derek Shouman TE Boise State
7th Brandon Fields P Michigan State
7th Aron Brant OT Iowa State

Still would have taken some guys that were selected. I think we did well in the draft but we could have upgraded the team in a major fashion by taking the combo of Brady Quinn and Steve Smith instead of Ted Ginn and John Beck.

This draft I am predicting Jake Long will be the selection with Vernon Gholston a possible alternate pick.

You draft was blown when you picked Quinn. He's just an over-rated bench warmer.

Lmao You Call That God Mode! Hahahahaha!

Why pick Quinn, when the Fins had Beck rated just as high?

Quinn would cost more $$.
Looking back, I like passing on Quinn more and more.

Im sorry but steve smith is not gonna be anywhere close to ted ginn in the future and brady quinn was just a over hyped 2 class quarterbacks that why he would have went in the sencond round if it wasnt for cleveland. John beck=better arm, more accuracy, more heart & 20 million dollars less.

Passing on Quinn simply because Mueller and Cameron had Beck rated higher does not mean it was a good decision...look where they are now.

Not selecting quinn wasnt the bad move, if we passed on any1 it would be patrick willis.

These are all guys that were available when we picked. With Mauia and Fields, i'm just assuming they drop. This draft would've done wonders for us.

1(9) Patrick Willis, LB (174tkls, 4sks, 2ff)
2(40) Tony Ugoh, LT (Protected Mannings blindside from day 1)
2(60) Samson Satele, C (Started all 16 games, played solid)
3(71) Trent Edwards, QB (Would be a steal here)
4(108) Fred Bennett, CB (62tkls, 3ints, 14pd)
6(181) Mason Crosby, K (31/39 fg, three 53 yd fgs, 48/48 pat)
6(199) Prescott Burgess, LB (good project player, excellent pass rusher)
7(219) Selvin Young, RB (729yds, 5.2avg, 33rec, 231yds rec)
7(225) Brandon Siler, LB (Promising 3-4 LB)
7(238) Reagan Mauia, FB (started all 16 games rookie season / progressed)

Sign these undrafted players:
Justin Harline, TE
Brandon Fields, P

where they are now has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with whether the drafting of Beck/Ginn was a good decision.
Randy Mueller had a good track record with New Orleans/ Seattle as a GM and Cameron was known as an offensive guru/QB coach before taking the HC job for the Dolphins. Many excellent position coaches are unable to make the transition to a HC (clearly the case with Cam). Therefore, their belief that Beck is as good (or nearly as good) as Quinn doesn't make it a poor decision. In fact, I would still trust their decision/opinions over the opinions of people like you any day of the week.

#9 Patrick Willis
#40Tony Ugoh
#60 Satele
#71 Trent Edwards
#108 Fred Bennett
#181 Crosby
#199 Chase Pittman
#219 Trumaine McBride
#225 Mauia
#238 Brandon Siler

I like Edwards better than Quinn and at 71 was a steal. He will be good in Buffalo and he is better than Beck. Ugoh played well and will continue to and would also aloow us to pick Chris Long #1 this year. Mauia and Satele of course played good. Bennett was a great rookie CB. I like McBride at Cb also he will develope. I dont have to explain the Crosby pick. Siler and Pittman could help a sorry D.
Patrick Willis is a stud but I could have lived with Staley,Okoye,Lynch (for trade value) or Aaron Ross at #9

If you go over to the FF board and check my old posts, you will see that I was pimping for P. Willis hard for the first pick right before the draft.
