i don't claim to be an internet football guru (I did play D1 AA ball though) - however, I went back to the 2007 draft and found that one site had the receivers rated as shown below. I'll put my comments next to them. Let me know what your comments are about any of the receivers here as well.

1. Dwayne Jarrett*, USC - Hometown guy from New Brunswick - bust right now.

2. Calvin Johnson*, Georgia Tech - stud.

3. Ted Ginn*, Ohio State - Solid number 2 guy right now.

4. Jeff Samardzija, Notre Dame - invisible.

5. Jason Hill, Washington State - invisible.

6. Steve Breaston, Michigan - solid behind 2 studs in AZ.

7. Courtney Taylor, Auburn - who??

8. Robert Meachem*, Tennessee - I would take this guy right now.

9. Early Doucet*, LSU - invisible. Is he even in the league anymore?

10. Steve Smith, USC - stud, coming into his own. Premier #2 guy.

11. Lance Leggett*, Miami-Fla. - invisible.

12. Johnnie Lee Higgins, UTEP - decent ball player.

13. Todd Blythe*, Iowa State - invisible.

14. Paul Williams, Fresno State - invisible.

15. Andre Caldwell, Florida - invisible.

16. Jarrett Hicks, Texas Tech - who??

17. Dwayne Bowe, LSU - stud.

18. Dorien Bryant*, Purdue - who??

19. Chansi Stuckey, Clemson - caught a bomb against us on MNF.

20. David Clowney, Virginia Tech. - not doing much.

*underclassmen

This just shows how risky the draft is. Out of 20 guys, only 3 are studs - CJ, Bowe, Smith, and many may throw Meachem in there as well. No, Ginn is not a beast, but at least he can run and i feel he will get better with Henne. I wouldn't worry about his hands - I think the bomb he caught Monday is going to do wonders for his psyche.

Also, not sure how credible this site was with them having Jarrett rated over Johnson - that is a huge error.

Jeff Samardzija is actually a pitcher for the Cubs now. Looking at his measurables, he looks like he could have been very intriguing at WR. It says he had originally intended to play both but decided against it after the MLB draft. Clowney was the one who caught the bomb on us as Stuckey got traded to the Browns.

Andre Caldwell has made a few good plays for cincy i wouldn't call him invisible hard to be seen with Ocho, Coles, and Henry standing in front of you... I think Doucet still plays for ARI an even harder situation for a young wr to get noticed.
