2007 Offeason : A Realisitic Approach

have some faith,he has the tools to a good QB:dolphins:

We know what we have with Joey, over 5 years of film worth to show us that he is utterly a loser, full stop.

first off no way Chambers is worth a 1st even if it is a low 1st. next I keep Lemon and dump Harrington. Lemon has more potential and would accept less money. Sidney Rice won't be available that low if he was the Chargers wouldn't want Chambers anyway. Barnes isn't the FB we need, Cameron will want to bring in a new FB maybe Brian Leonard in the draft. we want a guy who can do more than just block, having as FB who can catch and run in 3rd and 1 situations really opens up the playbook

other than that good job, you really care about winning and we would if we had this type of offseason

Who is going to replace our punter and our longsnapper???? What have you got against these guys. Our longsnapper, Denney is great. He never screws up. Our punter is decent, he didn't have any blocked last year did he? If you want to cut or trade, get rid of Harrington and Culpepper. They are both pretty high dollar flops. We could replace them with seventh round draft picks.

Needless to say I forgot some things.. Resign Denney and Jones and get an undrafted FA kicker to replace the overpaid Mare (Obviously, release Mare)... Look for Justin Medlock from UCLA or Nick Folk from Arizona..

BTW, whoever said why would SD trade for Chambers look at it like this.. they have the #30 pick.. they need a good #1 or even #2 WR.. They want to win now, not take the time to groom an unproven rookie WR.. Johnson, Jarrett and Ginn will be long gone... Rice is a stretch and not a proven NFL player like Chambers (see last year).. Everyone else is unproven and a strecth to take at #30.. They think Chambers needs a change of scenery and are willing to put their #1 pick out there for him.. Not a madden trade or anywhere remotley close to far fetched...

As for us, were tired of Chambers.. hasent proven anything (Besides last year).. Were not willing to give him another year to "breakout".. We get a young stud WR in either Ginn or Jarrett at #9 or Rice/Bowe/Meachem at #30 or with our 2nd round pick.. We still have the reliable Booker (750 yds last year).. Our other young stud Hagan.. Welker if we choose to resign him.. and as we all know and are seemingly cheering for, Marcus Vick..

Exactly what i was going to say. There is no way we can get rid of Lemon instead of Harrington.

Lemon will never be anything more than a backup QB in this league.. lets not get in a huff over him... C-Pep will start the season, we picked him over Brees and we realy dont want to look stupid at this point.. Both Lemon and Harrington will be career backups in this league.. Basically its the coaches preference... If we resign Lemon, cut Joey... If we keep Joey, dont resign Lemon.. it could go either way IMO..

we need to let vonnie go. saban has been stock piling d lineman for the last 2 years. Its time to let them play. If manny does anything this year we will be fine letting some of those old timers go. if quinn falls to #9 i say cut harrington and dc. start lemon and let quinn learn. Kris Deilman has a history with cc and will probably be signed. This is going to be an fun off season. if we can pick up a lt and cb in free agency and resign some of our guys, cut some fat and get 1 or 2 starters from the draft we could have a great year. We need to keep chambers. we haven't had a decent qb to get him the ball. hopefully that will change this year.
?????????? He was our 2nd best d-line men this year(following JT)
