Thoughts or comments?

I couldn't imagine any scenario where we take Phillips over Otah.

Fixed it for you guys fellas. Ah I love Microsoft Word's Final All and Replace tool. Works so well for many of things.

I don't like our selections too much either.

Phillips... FS? Jason Allen? FS?

I'd select...

1a. Jeff Otah, OT, Pitt
1b. Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida
2a. Fred Davis, TE, USC (didn't see him drafted.. anywhere)
2b. Adrian Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State (nor did I see him drafted)
3. Patrick Lee, CB, Auburn (didn't see him in there as well...)

This would be an ideal draft IMO. You drafted the DE from Clemson twice, once by SD and once by Cincinnati.

talib doesnt fit our system due to the fact he isnt a turn and run guy. if parcells sticks to his word then he isnt going to want james hardy who has a few off the field issues i believe and i also dont think he makes it out of the 1st round. marion barber is a great player but he is going to command a good amount of money and thats way to much to tie up in one position considering all the needs we have. i do like the groves pick but i dont think he lasts that long.

no way the raiders take a QB in the 2nd. no way. and otah would be our 1st pick.umm... lets see...pat sims is WAY Way too low. i dont see him making it out of the first. id take him over hardy. he's a good NT. and no felix jones in the first two rounds. i see him going early 2nd. and no Jonathan Stewart from oregon. the 2nd best RB in the draft. there are some major problems with this draft. you are missing some 'for sure' first and second rounders

Our biggest, and I mean by far BIGGEST concern is stopping the run. You have done absolutely ZERO,ZILCH, NADA to address that.

Also, I didnt know That Marion Barber could play TE? Dont know another reason we would trade for him

You totally ignored our defense, and more so; our inability to stop the run. I would be very unhappy with this draft.

If we traded down and the draft board looked like the one you've projected; I like Otah over Phillips, no way Ireland/Parcels passes up on him for Phillips, they love big lineman with long arms.

You have Merling being picked at 27 and 47.

Quentin Groves will be long gone before 58, epecially if he runs the 40 in the 4.4 range which is expected.

I would take Pat Sims at 33, he is a bonafide 3-4 NT, and we really don't have one on our roster yet. Solai needs to get his @$$ in gear.

You also left NT Red Bryant out of the second round, who is another bonafide 3-4 NT on the level of Pat Sims, but I like Sims better at this point.

Shawn Crable's stock is PLUMMETING, he may be big, but at the senior week; scouts said he was very slow to react, looked lost, and they said he might have a hard time digesting defensive schemes at the pro-level (it will be interesting to see what his wonderlic score will be). I think he will be available in the 4th round, maybe even later.

I think you should adjust some of the early picks (1-4) and focus more on our aging defense and it's inability to stop the run.

Wow I don't think we will draft a single one of those players. Talib, as someone mentioned, doesn't fit what we are looking for in a corner. Phillips doesn't fill a real need at our earliest pick. Hardy has character issues and is probably on the black list for us.

I could see us taking a corner, but other than that look for a lot of big body picks on both the O and D and probably a TE.

We HAVE to fix our run defense or we will be lucky if we win one game next year too.

BTW I also think the proposed Dallas trade is either a vapor trail or a smokescreen. I would definitely put it in the more likely not to occur than to occur category.
