2008 Theme From Worst 2 First!!!!

It looks like the year 2008 has a theme to it. The Boston Celtics was the worst team in the NBA last year and now are champs, the Tampa Bay Rays were the worst team in baseball last year now they have 50 wins and Fresno St just won the college world series. could we be the next worst 2 first story? You Gotta Believe!!!

Anything can happen. It would really be sweet if this could happen. I don't expect it to, but you can always have hope. :up:
 
That would be so awesome. We'd see all the closet bandwagon idiots come out of the woodwork. Wow...all of a sudden everyone is a Dolphins fan again! Imagine that!
 
We can run our way to the playoffs if no one can stop our running game even if they put 8 in the box and we still get it done then i really belive we can get it done.

The Celtics bought that championship and the Rays upgraded the bullpen tremendously. We've got some new players but whole semantics of football compared to he ladder 2 doesn't quite translate that way. I'm excited regardless of what happens.
 
it'd be nice,but i don't see it happening,i see a 6 win season at best,and further solidifying our team through next years draft.
 
The Celtics traded home grown TALENT for that championship. :)
 
I Would Be Happy To See A Product That Resembles An NFLTeam Next Year!

Correction Memphis was the worst team in basketball the previous year they had 2 less wins. The rays were the worst but they still have half a season to play. Fresno St on the other hand was a preseason top 25 team far from the worst.

Boston traded for two allstars and made good free agent moves.
The rays slowly built up draft talent and it finally paid off.
Fresno St, hell I have no clue but they were awesome and got it together.
They were a talented team though.

We are in none of the three categories.
We do not inherit a very talented team.
We made no major splash in trades or free agency
We dont have a bunch of top level youn talent waiting to come around.

Its slighltly possible but all those teams were built much betteroverall than us and a one yearturnaround that great is almost impossible without doing more than we did,

I think he was just trying to inject some enthusiasm into the board. I don't think he literally meant they were all the worst teams in their sports. Maybe he would have been a little more accurate to say "underdog?"

Either way, a new season always brings new aspirations and a new hope, right? Damn, I can't wait for the season to start!

Well we certainly cannot be any worse, so we have nowhere to go but up.
