Matt McGuire from walterfootball.com has us taking Rey Maualuga at #6 in next years draft....

Miami Dolphins: Rey Maualuga, ILB, USC

Rey Maualuga has been an absolute monster for the USC defense this season, and I was very impressed with him in the 3-4 defense in the loss against Oregon State. He's a great blitzer, can close on the outside, and will lay the wood. The Dolphins are lacking an athlete at the linebacking position, but Maualuga will bring it for Bill Parcells. I think No. 6 overall is a proper position to take an inside linebacker, despite the lack of positional demand across the league.
    what do you guys think?

don't know why the number 1 is up there...on the site he has us picking at #6 in the 1st rd....

I like Maualuga....

but for all the hype Rey and Cushing get....I think Clay Matthews could be as good of a pro as any of the USC linebackers....he obviously has the bloodlines, and when you watch USC's games....he's the one that sticks out the most to me.

Very versatile and plays extremely well in space....has instincts....could play in a 3-4...

I think if he can put up some solid combine numbers...he'll go much higher in the draft than anyone thought.

Mathews is a hot prospect because he is a very good 3-4 prospect. As much as I love Rey Rey, he is not playing up to his status as best LB in football.

Matthews looks like one of those players that's going to be a better pro than college player....

The steroid allegations involving Cushing would cause concern for me....

Doesn't really matter, we won't be picking 6th. He will most likely be gone in the 1st 10 picks, imo, we will be picking somewhere between 15-20

Maualuga would be nice; but I'd only see that happening if Crowder isn't re-signed. I'd still like to see us go after a CB in round 1 with Vontae Davis and Malcolm Jenkins being my top two choices.

YO CHECK THIS...
I think Crabtree and Mauluagua will be off the board before we choose...

#10- MYRON ROLLE CB/S FSU
#42- BRANDON SPIKES ILB UF
#55- BRANDON PETTIGREW TE OSU
#74- CARLTON MITCHELL WR USF
#107 TONY CARTER DB FSU
#139 ANTONIO DIXON DT UM

what do you think?

If anything, Rolle is a S/LB. He is not a first rounder, and he'll probably have to switch positions.

Rolle may not play football after college either, keep that in mind people.

He spent this past summer and/or spring break in England, he's a Rhodes Scholar. As much as I don't like FSU, the kid has a good head on his shoulders. All he talked about before going to college was going to med school. I don't agree with his school choice but he could have done worse
