Well, it's that time. Now the Wednesday before the NFL Draft.
For those that don't remember or weren't around, I held a contest last year to see who could name the most future Dolphins out of 20 names. The idea is you name 20 draft prospects that you think will become Dolphins and the person with the most correct wins.
The thing to note is, you don't just get credit for naming draft picks. If one of your guys signs on as a UDFA, you also get credit.
Last year, the overall winner of the contest was FinHeaven's own RoninFin4, who edged me by one player.
This year should be more difficult, as there are fewer Rolly Lumbalas and Kory Robertsons. But, the keen follower should be able to nail some of those this year as well.
One of the very interesting things to come out of last year's contest is that Chad Henne, Kendall Langford and even Shawn Murphy...were all VERY frequently named by the people participating in the Top 20 contest. We knew about Jake Long before the draft, and so entries that included him were not counted. I think only one person named Phil Merling (surprisingly) and I believe one person named Lionel Dotson. Nobody named Jalen Parmele or Lex Hilliard in their 20. I don't believe anyone named Donald Thomas, but I did feel stupid for not doing so myself because I liked him a lot and I knew about the connections between Connecticut and Sparano.
Anyway, have fun. Remember, I will be tracking your entries right up to the start of the draft. So, don't bother trying to edit them after we've picked. :)
