Last year, i predicted us to go 10-6. I wasn't too far off, and as mentioned here, i expected some games to go 50/50 in win/loss.

Dolphins Regular Season Schedule (All times Eastern)

Week 1:
Sunday, Sept. 13, at Atlanta, 1 p.m. Win 24-16
What a way to start, two of the best young teams, The Will we regret not taking Ryan game? Since I prefer Jake Long, I'll say we score 24+ points on them, with our defense starting the season right, getting a bunch of sacks in the process. We must be able to stop Micheal Turner, i think the run defense will be a strength next season.

Week 2: Monday, Sept. 21, INDIANAPOLIS, 8:30 p.m. Win 30-24
Indy started off slow last year, they normally start 10-0, i think that they will lose a substantial amount of games with Dungy being gone, their new coach better learn quick, I have a feeling we are just gonna run it up the middle on them all day. They normally have a hard time stopping the run in the beginning of the season. This is the first primetime game since that muddy, horrible 0-3 loss to the steelers in 07. I think Miami fans will erupt after the Falcons win, and marvel at how good our running game got overnight. I predict a new Wildcat formation that will blow your mind for a 4th quarter TD.

Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 27, at San Diego, 1:15 p.m. Loss 17-16
On a short week, we travel to the west coast. Merriman will be very healthy and return to dominant form. I'd love to see the young defense stop their running game again. It's a winnable game but i dont see us going 3-0, so we will either lose this or the Colts game.

Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 4, BUFFALO 4:05 p.m. Win 24-10
I think their defense will be poor, marshawn lynch will be fresh or rusty, praying for the latter. Owens gets their lone TD, on a lame 50yrder. Too bad Edwards gets sacked 4-5 times and throws 2-3 INTS.

Week 5: Monday, Oct. 12, N.Y. JETS, 8:30 p.m. Win 17-10
Our second MNF game, people are wondering whats up with our hot start and the Jets's QB woes. Rex Ryan learned how to beat the Dolphins last year, so he's got the game plan. Unfortunatly he doesn't have the personnel for the win.

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 18, BYE

Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 25, NEW ORLEANS, 4:15 p.m. Loss 34-31 (OT)
Drew Brees makes me cry as he amasses 17 4th quarter points. He converts practically every third down, and exposes our secondary, creating the blueprint the Patriots willingly cheat off of beating us in week 9.

Week 8: Sunday, Nov. 1, at N.Y. Jets, 1 p.m. Win 20-17
The Jets again just miss out on beating us, and will half to wait till next year to try again. After playing the Jets only 3 weeks ago, Sparano see's the film on why we were so successful. Bad QB play in horrible wind conditions make this game too tough for Brett Ratliff, who took over for the crappy Clemens only 1 week before.

Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 8, at New England, 1 p.m. Loss 42-30
Using the Week 7 Brees Blueprint, Brady runs his offense all day. They should have only won 35-30, however Belichek goes for the TD instead of kneeling which gives fuel for Porter and co. in week 13. Basically, Brady throws for 400+ yards.

Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 15, TAMPA BAY, 1 p.m. Win 20-16
Tough game, i think Leftwich will be a good QB behind that Oline. This is one of those T.O.P. games, where we win with good team defense and a solid, persistant running game.

Week 11: Thursday, Nov. 19, at Carolina, 8:20 p.m. Loss 28-21
We can score on them, and we do, but their power running game is where we should be. We have a good chance of winning this game, our run defense just has to withstand the punishment. Hopefully we get our injury free here.

Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 29, at Buffalo, 1 p.m. Win 21-17
After the much needed 10 day rest, we get a softer opponent and happen to sack edwards just enough to prevent their 4th quarter comeback. Ronnie Brown has a big day on the porous Bills run D.

Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 6, NEW ENGLAND*, 8:20p Win 24-21 (OT)
This time, we get the win as Chad Pennington leads us on a 60 yard, 6 minute drive in OT picking apart the 40 year old defense. Our Secondary is comming along at the end of the year, and locks down Moss, while the Pats struggle to run the ball on our defense.

Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 13, at Jacksonville, 1 p.m. Loss 17-16
Our offense stuggles at the wrong time of the year, especially after giving it their all in the win against the Pats the week prior. I think Jacksonville was stuggling due to a bunch of Oline woes. We can win this game, but for random losses sake, we dont.

Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 20, at Tennessee, 12:00 p.m. Win 14-10
Tennessee will see a substantial suffering this year with the loss of Haynesworth. I think Vince Young is the starter at this point of the season, too bad he can't get the win this time. Chris Johnson has a nice game on us, but they dont convert it into many points.

Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 27, HOUSTON, 1 p.m. Win 28-24
Finally we beat the Texans, and its actually in their first year of making the Playoffs. I think they'll win the AFC South next year, if they draft well like they have been recently. While we might not have an answer for Andre and their high powered offense. Jake Long has his best game of his career shutting down Mario Williams in his career season.

Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 3, PITTSBURGH, 1 p.m. Win 19-17
The 10-5 Dolphins face the 10-5 Steelers making for a very amazing football game. Some of my best friends are Steelers fans, and it would mean the world to me if we won, especially after the last time we lost 0-3.

Thats Right we go 11-5 again, in fact i think we get used to it and go 11-5 the year after with Henne as our QB.

I think people are overhyping how tough our schedule really is. We have such a great coaching staff to get us through close games, an improving young core. I think that recording the same record with tougher opponents will serve as a perfect example for improvement. The tougher teams will even get us more prepared for the playoffs. We could win anywhere between 0-2 playoff games with Pennington at the helm.

11-5 +/-1

Callin it.

Nice call, I have us going 11-5 too, but with the losses being @ Atl, @ NE, @ Car, @ Ten, and against the Steelers at home.

I like your analysis.. I think we might lose one or two more different than you say.. and maybe win one or two more than you say we lose. I do not think we win the division but get a wild card at 10-6.. 5 seed. NE takes takes the Division, which they dont deserve, due to moss and galloway (which i think starts at the #2 and welker at #3). By gods prayer i hope he doesnt return to form, which 50 tds is probably not going to happen but we need to shut him down. Cheers to dolphins being 2 time defending afc east champs!!

Nice effort, but I think it's way to early to do one of these type of threads. I think we still have a lot of questions to be answered and I'm not at all thrilled with the talent in this draft nor with the players we'll probably land in the draft. I think Miami takes a step backwards with the record, but takes a step forward with talent and continuity. I just think we are still a year and anotrher off season and draft away from sacring anyone.

I`m going for 9-7 or 10-6. Either way we will repeat as division champs.

We won't repeat as division champs if we go 9-7, I'll tell you that much. 10-6 maybe, but not 9-7. I have a feeling NE won't be as strong, but they'll find a way to win about 10 games. I have us winning 11, though! :D

NY and Buffalo....well one doesn't have a QB worth a damn. And the other...well the Bills just plain suck is all!

Well last season, all i did was count the games we could win. I normally give us 4-2 in realistic 50/50 odds just because we have better coaches.

My wins/losses were all off last year, but the record was still similar. The Broncos Chargers/Pats game early last season showed me anything was possible. If we can win the games we "can" win, then we should win a bunch of games. - John Madden (ADavieDolphin)

I know it's early to do this prediction, and if you asked me predraft how many wins we'd have last year? I'd of told you 6. However, now we know our QB situation, what are team is comprised of, what they can do. This years draft class will make less of an impact compared to last years, just becuase there were starting roles available all over the roster. Still, no roster spots are gaurantees, but we could make solid predicted rosters and depth charts.

Don't forget our win loss is inflated due to the AFC South playing the weak AFC West and the NFC South played NFC North and NFC West.

Wehn you really look at the schedule, the teams appear less intimidating. I like that we end the season with two home games..

Also thank you God for answering my prayers of primetime games. And 4!!! Oh how generous!

Falcons,Carolina,Jacksonville....Here I come!!!!

Living in Greenville S.C. I dont have much of a chance to see the Dolphins but maybe once a year. This year I will get to see them three times. Looking forward to maybe seeing some of you guys there. Atlanta will be rocking, Two teams that had a great year last year and there fans are loud and annoying. I cant wait!

Rex absolutely has the personnel. We may not have the amount of talent Bal had but we are in the upper echelon of talented D's. The problme is we play 3 weeks in so will these guys be adjusted by then? if so he knows how to shut down your O.

Interesting read. Thanks, I enjoyed it.

However... I think we beat the Saints and the Jaguars. I also don't see us doing better than 11-5, so I'm not sure where the two other losses would come from other than one of the close ones going the other way and a sweep by the Patriots. Even that's a huge question mark from someone that has had a similar injury to Brady's. I don't think he can be near 100%, if he ever gets there.

Of course, I've been wrong before.

Based on last year? As if the Phins will have the same exact players and schemes.
