Just some predictions as I think will happen in the 2009 season.

1.) Patrick Cobbs will have more rushing yards that either Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams.

2.) Polite will have 3+ rushing TDs

3.) Davone Bess will be our #1 WR next season. (Receptions or Yards)

4.) Our first draft pick is not a WR.

5.) Roth will have 8+ sacks.

6.) One DB will have 6 or more interceptions.

What do you guys think about these predictions. I don't necessarily think that all of these things are good things, but just predictions.
Argree with any or disagree or what are your predictions for this up and coming season. I would like to pull this thread back up twards the end of the year and see if any of us were close.

3.) Devon Bess will be at least the 2nd best WR on this team (Receptions or Yards), if not THE best WR on this team.

5.) Roth will have 8+ sacks.

definately interesting and not simple safe ones.

I prefer to predict others predictions

1-Ronnie brown will have 1500 yards rushing
2-Ted Ginn will have 1300 yards receiving
3-Jason Allen will have 10 interceptions
4-Paul Solai will have 3 tackles

LOL @ cobbs.

Have to disagree there. he's caught some teams off guard, but he won't get enough carries to eclipse either RB or RW.

I'd like to add that I think Jason Allen will be gone next year.

HAHA lets not get too hopeful there dlockz.

Nice job man, hilarious.

If you were a real risk taker: Shawn Murphy will be active for 1 game.
I'm not sure who is that big a gambler to risk their name on that.

#4 is nearly a fact, not a prediction - with this FO.

#5 doesn't have a prayer of happening, as Roth should only be a substitute this year. i will be greatly surprised and disappointed if Roth remains a starting OLB.

#1 would be pretty surprising as well, maybe in 2010 ...

I don't think Ronnie will have that many carries to get that many yards. Sparano has shown he loves Ricky Williams.
T.Ginn to have that many would be fantastic.
Jason Allen will be a real bad nickel back maybe, if not cut.
LOL @ Solai.

My only season prediction is the following

The % of people on this board that spell Davone Bess' name correctly will remain under 50%

1.) I predicted this because, I think RB or RW will get injured. Cobbs showed real promise twards the end of the season, and Sparano showed intrest by giving him more touches at the end of the season.
2.) Also think Polite will have a few more touches this season.
3.) I was almost going to predict that Bess will be our #1 WR next season, but I stopped short of that. Showed huge promise at the end of the year, he's not super fast, but got some real good moves for some YAC. I think when Henne takes the helm, Bess will be his #1 target. Love Camarillo too.
4.) I just think the FO will still stay closer to the football and continue to build OL and DL before they move outward.
5.) Roth will have a huge year next year. Teams will be doubling Porter, if we can beef up our interior DL, you'll see Roth get in there quite a bit. Huge potential.
6.) Not sure who it will be, Maybe Will Allen or Goodman.

Dang, nice catch. Hammering away at the keyboard at work.
Forgive me.

I'm changing my prediction about Davone Bess. He will be our #1 WR next season, not our #2.

in 2008 he started 6 games. during those games, we were 5-1 and he caught 5.833 balls per game. If he started every game, that would mean that he would have 93 catches on the season. That's pretty spectacular. He's not the fastest, but he has moves and isn't affraid to play football (Mr. Ginn). He has enough moves to be our starting PR.
Bess also have a better return average than Ginn in BOTH kicks and punts.

1. Henne becomes the starting QB after Penny gets hurt in week 5 and never looks back. He finishes with 1700 yards, 9 TDs, 2 picks.

2. Ronnie rushes for 1300 yards 13 td's, Ricky rushes for 700 yards 7td's, Cobbs 500 yards 4td's. As we are protecting our young QB running 75% of the time.

3. Ginn catches 60 balls for 800 yards and 4td's.

4. Our rookie ILB wins defensive rookie of the year.

5. Our defense is ranked 5th overall.

6. Back to back AFC EAST CHAMPIONSHIP's.

My predictions for this season:

#1. We will draft BJ Raji if he falls to us. If he doesn't we will draft Taylor Mays.

#2. Joey Porter will not have anywhere near the season he had this year.

#3. Cameron Wake will have over 8 sacks and will start.

#4. Ginn will have less than 70 receptions.

#5. Pennington will not start all 16 games due to injury.

I LOL at everything except for #4.
