Foles..

I absolutely love this guy...whether I wanted to watch arizona or not they always would come on t.v.I think he has a chance to rise greatly with a nice season and in the post season.Hes a big guy 6'5 250.I really think he kan get into the top 15. I also have a man crush on his wideout criner..He will make a great compliment to a number 1 wideout. 1st rd Foles ( where we may be drafting) 2nd rd Criner.we would look fantastic on paper with a decent right tackle and tight end...just scares me a little with them being in the pac 10.I swear if we get our own guy at qb...we kould get into the nfl elite for yrs with our defense and young talent

Here's the biggest wildcard in the entire quarterback class..... Ryan Tannehill. Fabulous raw talent...

Draft reminds me of the draft with young, leinart and cutler..3 great qbs at the top (luck, barkley and landry)I would be satisfied with either as I think all will transition well.I am a fan of foles/tannehill also, pending turn around of henne hopefully can get either in the bottom of round 1.If he faulters,we must get one of the big 3 at all cost

i want barkley. i dont see anyway for us to be up for luck. barkley then jones

9/17/11 OK at FSU; I think we'll know a whole lot more about Jones when he faces FSU much improved D.

Okay before I go into who I like PLEASE CHECK OUT TANEHILL's FIRST VIDEO AT the 3:20 MARK HE COMPLETELY TRUCKS ONE OF THE KANSAS DBS It's irrelevant but hilarious.

I'm not gonna say anything about the top two guys except that I think Barkley is a lot closer to LUCK than many people think.

I know that there is a gap between Landry Jones, Ryan Lindley and the top two guys but I would be really happy with with either of these guys. Lindley reminds me o Kurt Warner with that quick release. He's got the quickest release of any QB in this class. Aaron Murray also belongs in the second tier. Maybe it's my Georgia byass.

I think the third tier consists of Tanehill, Wheedon (slips to the third tier because of his age), Foles (who is growing on me). A guy by the name of Zach Mettenburger will end up in this group by the end of the season. He came to Georgia in the same class as Murray but did some stupid stuff and got kicked off the team.He should start this year for LSU. I liked him more than Murray which is daying something. He's probably got the strongest arm in college football. Although I'm not sure if he will be eligible draft.

Then there's a guy that I like to surprise people. GJ Kinne plays in a crazy system at Tulsa but he knows how to throw the deep ball and if he can become more consistent I think he could do some good things. He's not up there with these other guys though. Just a guy I'm rooting for.

considering Tannehill was a WR before the start of last season should say something. Of course, A&M QBs have had a bad tendency of looking like a good QB prospect their junior years then struggling as seniors and getting benched (see Reggie McNeal, Stephen McGee, and Jerrod Johnson)

Like Foles a lot, but he has to stay healthy.

You could talk me into liking Jones a lot, as long as he doesn't grow that pornstache again

When you guys kept talking about his pornstar mustache, I kept expecting to see a Tom Seleck/Burt Reynolds mustache. Come to think of it, that would probably be bad ***.

None of those other guys were good quarterback prospects.... although it does say something about Tannehill being a WR since he arrived at aTm, it speaks to how good of an athlete he is. He wasn't just a receiver, he was aTm's leading receiver for two seasons...

Obviously, nobody really had any idea how good of a quarterback Tannehill could be for aTm because he hadn't played the position yet... but what I did know was that Jerrod Johnson was horribly overrated by the talking heads as an NFL prospect...

Foles isn't as overrated as Johnson was, but I still think he's the most overrated in this particular class of quarterbacks.

I understand none were great prospects, but they entered their senior seasons as potential early round picks.

Great thread, J. Slimm, thanks for taking the time to post the photos. They were great.

Besides Miami's games, I am super focused on the Dolphins finally getting a qb. I like Landry Jones alot. He played well down the stretch, in second half of games. Like the Nebraska game, against a defense as good as there is in college. Also the OK State game. Stoops says he has a good work ethic and composure. He also has good footwork. He did play in a spread and had some dumb throws. Arm strength may not be superlative but seems adequate. But, I think playing in the clutch, footwork, composure, and work ethic are critical factors for determining NFL success. I'd make a play for him if I am Miami. You know Denver, Seattle, Washington, and Oakland are also making plays for qb's in the 2012 draft. Hopefully Miami finally aggressively gets a stud 1st rounder. Maybe Jones.

It still amazes me that we have not even tried to draft a QB #1 since Marino. The last great QB's for Miami Bob Greise and Dan Marino both first rounders...For God sake if Henne does not prove anything this year take a chance it is worth it for the fans who have been waiting for years.
