Im not throwing away this season, but when you look at our depth chart, most of the units are all signed up for next year. The two exceptions are the secondary and the O'line, luckily enough the 2 weakest spots.

I fully expect us to re-sign Grimes & Clemons. We have Davis and Jamar Taylor waiting in wings.

Next years draft is full of O'line talent. Could we draft 2 O'lineman with first 2 picks and just keep hold of Martin & Pouncey?

Could we have an O'line of - Cyrus Kouandjio - Dallas Thomas - Mike Pouncey - Zach Martin - Jonathan Martin

The best projected Free Agent next year is Brandon Albert, whom I like but would want top money and has had previous injury problem. Do we keep Incognito? What do you envisage as our O'line next year?

Dallas Thomas is the new Michael Egnew. What a non factor. Martin should be a swing back up tackle. I am tired of saying he is a solution to the mess up front.

Dallas Thomas definitely played out of position during the exhibition period. There is no way in hell you can leave him on the edge he has to play on the interior.

Not on this site. If a player doesn't show pro bowl potential his rookie yr, he should be cut.
Its not possible to develop young talent in today's NFL.

My post is sarcasm. In case it wasn't obvious

IMO the O'line has to be cohesive and work as a unit. I would love to draft 2 top guys and have them develop together as a unit over a couple of seasons. I would even take 2 more lower down in draft for depth.

Dont you think a bit early to judge on Dallas Thomas?

Dallas Thomas was recovering from the same shoulder injury as Jordan & it took him quite some time to recover. As on OL you use your shoulder so much to block & he was busy rehabbing in the offseason so couldn't get to full strength. I imagine he will get stronger & better throughout the year.

Im personally of the mindset we should between the draft(particularly here) and FA go O/Lineman over kill. Get this freaking problem solved once and for all!

If we bring in less that 3 offensively lineman(between draft and FA) I will be very disappointed!

forget martin. dude is weak. other than that i would say that is the right way to go. even if its not the dudes you mentioned to draft, as long as we get some new talent in the draft and fa, we should be sitting nice then

So what does it say that we drafted him to play OT? Because that is why we drafted him and honestly, we are assuming he's being groomed as a guard now, but none of us really no that to be the case. For all we know he's still being used at tackle and still getting abused which is why we traded for McKinnie.

Just saying, if it is that obvious that he needs to play on the interior yet we stubbornly played him on the outside, what faith as fans should we have in Ireland and Philbin when it comes to our player personnel?

I was pretty bummed when we resigned Reshad Jones over the summer - I was expecting him to have a "down" year this year and unfortunately, I was right. I think we paid him too much and would have saved some money had we resigned him after THIS summer - I hope he picks up his play and ends up proving me wrong.

And I actually don't think our secondary is terrible... its definitely better than in the past and last year... keeping our current secondary intact with the hope that the 2 rookies get better would be enough for us to improve, IMO.

I really hope this is the end of Clemons. Guy is awful. A competent GM would let him walk but if Ireland sticks then I fully expect him to resign him since Ireland takes way too long to give up on his draft picks and vastly overestimates their true ability. Martin should only remain on this team for depth next year and should be upgraded at the first opportunity. Guy is simply too weak to be a quality NFL tackle.
