Does anyone have a list of coach candidates with ties to Tannenbaum if Philbin fails and is fired?

I know Eric Mangini (and Quinn if he isnt hired this year) but is there anyone else?

Personally, I'd hope that the HC search includes more than just people associated with Tannenbaum. yea I understand how things work, but we need the best man for the job, not someone's best friend.

I agree, but I have very little faith it will work that way. I'd like to get a sense of the best we could hope for with Tannenbaum in charge. For the moment it seems like Mangini

Tannenbaum was his agent. Dirk Koetter too.

Mangini has a better chance for a FO role IMO.

I can just see the fanbase running to buy season tickets with that announcement. LOL

"TannenBum's" Choice - it's like relying on Lindsay Lohan to select which actress to play Lady MacBeth in a big Broadway production.. Ugh!!!

Tannenbaum is a perfect VP of Ops because he has little ego and could create the environment for a talented GM to come in and together pick the HC OR hire a high end HC and allow him to pick his GM.

Tannenbaum is going to help this team in the end. Just not right now.

I could see Mangini in a front office role. I've seen it reported that Mangini prefers to be a GM. But I saw that he recently interviewed for one of the open jobs, maybe Oakland. If Mangini comes into the front office, I could see Josh McDaniels be considered. Bill Lazor could be in the mix.

I don't know if Tannenbaum represented college coaches. If we go past Tannenbaum's sphere of contacts, there are always college coaches like Meyer, Shaw, Sumlin, and Malzahn.

At this point, I'd be willing to give McDaniels another shot, even with his last HC gig being a total dumpster fire. The hope is he learned something from that experience

Former Cleveland Browns and New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini could be headed back to an NFL sideline. According to Dianna Marie Russini of NBC4 in Washington D.C., Mangini will interview for the Redskins Defensive Coordinator position:

Last update I saw on Mangini.

Redskins to tap Joe Barry as defensive coordinator.

Then this update.

That update was back on 1/9 days ago. Barry has been rumored to have the job but nothing confirmed. Lousy pick though.

When has he even been good at his job, let alone "perfect"...and what "talented GM" are you referring to?
