Miami Dolphins: No. 1 Passing Offense in the League

As previously mentioned, the Dolphins will field an improved team in 2016. After underachieving with the previous coaching staff, Gase brings in a new outlook focused on elevating quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Quarterback Peyton Manning threw for the most yards (5,477) and touchdowns (55) in his career, post-surgery, with Gase as his offensive coordinator.

Despite all the good years with the Indianapolis Colts, tossing passes to future Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Manning logged his most productive season after returning from a serious neck injury under Gase in Denver.

The Dolphins head coach also cut Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler’s interception rate down to 2.3 percent in the previous season—the lowest in his career when playing more than 10 games.

There’s justifiable optimism in Gase’s ability to elevate Tannehill’s game. The Dolphins quarterback threw for more than 4,000 yards in consecutive seasons with a favorable touchdown-to-interception ratio. With a wide receiver corps that runs four deep, Miami’s passing offense should rank off the charts in production.

I mean the talent is there. if there are no injuries on that oline... this is all on Tanny

I don't think it will be #1 but it could definitely be in the top 5.

I'd change "should" to "could"and " rank off the charts" with "rank among the top." But that will take a lot going right.

If all goes well as far as the injury front, and the line plays well, many people are going to be surprised how good Miami passing offense, and more direstly, how good Tannehill will look.

I still think it comes down to the running game. If Miami can get the running game going, I think the passing game definitely has top 10 ability.

In the sense of Ryan Tannehill, the 2016 draft makes total sense. Get an elite left tackle, a physical receiver and some mismatch players on offense. It's all there for the Dolphins on offense.

While i think the qb is absolutely capable this seems too ambitious in year 1 under gase...top 10 though yeah i can buy into it

no excuses for RT. Been saying that all offseason.Need elite play by QB to help carry this team, based on lack of talent on defense. Not asking for much, 5th year qb, with a HC that has helped orchestrate offenses that have recently broken records. If this happens, you could see a rested, hopefully healthier defense finally play, maybe work on their run D craft

I feel the opposite.

If Jay Ajayi goes down, we'll have to throw on every down, and we can easily end up with the #1 passing offense, in terms of passing attempts & yards.

After all, RBs Kenyan Drake, Damien Williams, and Daniel Thomas are all better receivers than running between the tackles.

I think its possible.... why not us?! ;-)

What was our offense ranked, in the 20s? Would be great to get in the top 10. If that happens we could see the playoffs.

This unit was 14th in yards and 11th in points in 2014...

Joe Philbin/Bill Lazor

Ryan Tannehill
Lamar Miller
Brian Hartline
Mike Wallace
Jarvis Landry
Charles Clay

LT: Branden Albert/Ja'Wuan James
LG Daryn Colledge
C: Samson Satele
RG: Mike Pouncey
RT: Dallas Thomas

It seems like a dream...hard to believe.

I could see our offense being top 10 this year. Not #1.

If you read the rest of the "Bold predictions"....he has Patriots starting 0-3, including obviously its first game to our Dolphins....and he also predicts the Jets finish last in the AFC East.

Here's to this guy nailing his predictions!
