Fitzpatrick is always in great position in coverage and he has the size/strength to match up with bigger wideouts in the league. He offers tremendous versatility.

Leonard is an absolute stud. I wanted miami to scoop him with its 2nd rounder but we didn’t get a sniff.

He’s ahead of the projection in terms of rookie impact.

Minkahs had 3 plus grade games and one average return vs Oakland one.

Minkah unfortunately has no shot as long as he is forced to play nickel corner. He is at his best near the line of scrimmage and is a dangerous blitzer but personnel doesnt make that possible.

That's why finding a 2nd outside corner is so important. It allows us to kick McCain into nickel and let's us play a lot more 3 safety sets.

A lot of guys on here wanted Fred Warner. He looks to be having a good start.

That’s why finding a legitimate defensive coordinator is important.

Damn, Tremaine Edmunds isn't even on the list.

Evidently buffalo is a mess on d but I haven’t seen them so I don’t know.

Pretty sure they got him playing mike when I would think out the gate strong would be the smarter ask. Inside the tackles read and diag needs work and reps for mike.

James is balling out but I still think Minkah will be the better player in the long run.

Yeah me neither. It was more homerism than anything.

Lol I hear ya. But at least it could still go either way right now. I think the safest thing to say is both players are quality.

Just fitz will never get the recognition as a full time slot.

Fitz has been way better than expected, I think he has the potential to be a future pro bowler. In my opinion Derwin James has the higher ceiling due to being the superior athlete.

Same thing that was said about them as prospects. Exact same.

But fitz has done or has been close to doing one thing that slot corner return never does. Validate a top 12 worthy pick.

Plus there’s meat on the bone with the player as a safety etc.

The thing is Derwin James actually played even better in the slot in college than Minkah, but the Chargers already have great slot players.
