The Marlins are scheduled to play in Baltimore next week even though 18 players will be out because of the virus. So basically the Marlins will be sending out a minor league team to play 4 games in three days against a major league roster. Thankfully with no fans having to pay to attend games, at least the fans won’t be wasting money watching these games.
While the Marlins were not favored to make the playoffs to begin with, making them play theses games with mostly minor leaguers almost assures they will have less of a chance to make the playoffs than they already had with a 60 game regular season.
The only proves that for those sports which continue to play outside of a bubble, it is all about the money and nothing else.
