10 on Blacklock and 15 on Gallimore stand out. But on the whole I think it's a class that's not got a lot of cream at the top but there are some prospects that you could spend a low pick on and perhaps reap rewards. For me I like Fotu and K Davis in the middle rounds as that type of guy.

That is interesting because I have see Blacklock rated much higher in some places.Gallimore as well.

I too like Fotu, maybe in Round 4.

Raekwon Davis is going to be overdrafted because of his "upside", but if Saban can't get him to play who can?

How comes the low ranking on Gallimore when I see him in the first round of so many mocks?
Just wondering...

I'm not sure why he'd be a 1st round pick in mock drafts unless it's just based on his 40 time. He ran a fast 40 yard dash at the combine.

But if you want to get into numbers, I tend to look more at short shuttle and 3-cone times for a defensive tackle. Only one defensive tackle tested worse than Gallimore in the short shuttle, and only 3 tested worse in the 3-cone. I see him get handled pretty good one-on-one by quality interior offensive lineman.

If you're going to test poorly in the 3-cone and short shuttle at defensive tackle - you need the long arms and massive power that guys like Derrick Brown, Kinlaw, Leki Fotu have. Gallimore doesn't really have that style or the tools to win with that style. Although he can run down some plays toward the sidelines if an olineman doesn't get the reach block on him. I think he's more of a 4th round pick.

My favorite players to watch on tape are Kinlaw and Blacklock. I love twitchy disruptive 3-techs that you can also move around in odd man fronts. Derrick Brown is a beast and rag dolls people....one of the best players in the draft....I just enjoy the type of play the others bring. During the draft process you develop man crushes on a few and these guys are it at DT.

Kinlaw belongs right there with Derrick Brown. He might even end up as good or better in the NFL than Brown. However, he was never as consistent as Brown in the SEC and just never showed up as consistently. Although he could blow up in the NFL. Brown always showed up in big moments and moments that weren't big. Just a consistent nightmare. I know Joe Burrow checks under his bed every night for Derrick Brown.

McShay had Miami passing on Kinlaw at 18 for the CB Henderson in his latest Mock.

Henderson is good but I would be very, very upset if that happened.

Can't see him on the board at 18 anyway but still...............

I would break my tv if that happened. He will be long gone by 18 anyways.

As good as Henderson is in coverage, i can't look past his "business decisions" to not hit or attempt tackles at times. He will jaw with guys and push after plays but eventhough he's always around the pile, he's never in the pile.

Kinlaw would be my favorite dt addition, but if they missed out there I wouldn't mind adding Davon Hamilton. What round do you think he's likely to come noff the board. I was thinking later in the third round sounds about right.

Henderson is a much better prospect than Kinlaw imo - completely different tiers.

Nice analysis...thank you!

Henderson seems to fit the mold of DB Flo and company like. Long, athletic and physical would fit right in. If things fell to where Miami kept all 3 1st rounders CJ at 18 is a dream.

Greta job and appreciated as always.

Like to seem Lynch that high, really like him. Much more of a brute force guy but could be a perfect type of Swiss army DL player. More burst and quickness than I expected but not elite EDGE type speed, think he has tools to build on and is a high effort/energy guy would could move from 1 to 5 technique given the situation. Seems like a fit but not sure he would make it to 56 and 39 seems a bit high though his college coach picks before Miami so it may be a moot point.

What are your thoughts on him?
