I would rather Ruggs and Yetur-Matos, though. Epenesa doesn't replace Charles Harris. Yetur-Matos does.

I know we need OTs but I'd rather not reach. Ruggs would fit right in with Stills gone.

Under the assumption of no trades (unlikely); Tua, Ruggs and Yetur Matos would be a BIG win.

Just pick Alex Leatherwood with our second 2nd rd pick and Wills in the 3rd. Wills might be better suited at RG with Jesse Davis at RT but it'd be fine by me.

Love that first sentence.

In case your blinders on I'll post it:

Joe Burrow has been the best quarterback in college football this season, and we need to start talking about him potentially going No. 1 overall. For real.

I’m still waiting for your rap on how he was last season. I’ll wait here for a reply on that.

Can Jones play RT? Because I dont see us taking a LT that high if we get Tua.

Which is laughable to me. The dude doesn‘t have an entire stellar season under his belt like Tua. Burrow’s 2018 was mediocre. Every criticism naysayers have about Tua applies toward Burrow. Except theres a smaller sample size of good play from Burrow. So what gives?

We’ve heard that Tua is surrounded by a lot of talent. So is Burrow. We’ve heard that Tua is injury prone. Burrow broke his throwing hand during practice while at tOSU requiring surgery.

Tua actually led a team to a National title by making plays in a 2nd half against GA. What has Burrow accomplished to date besides get beat out by multiple QB’s while at the Ohio State?

Burrow might win the Heisman this season. He might help win a Nat’l title. He might even make a good pro QB. But to this point in time he’s proved and shown less than Tua yet some folks are elevating him to #1 pick status?

Makes zero sense to me. People are either over-infatuated with small sample sizes and Johnny Comelately‘s or they have a pre-existing agenda.

I love the CBS podcast, but their mock drafts seem designed just to provoke talking points. I guess mock drafts are preety much a futile gesture in October.

Burrow will probably go to the senior bowl and possibly even be coached by our staff. That’s a big advantage. I doubt he overtakes Tua but it could close the gap a little in the eyes of the organization.

CBS does have interesting mocks. They seem to go out of their way to have Tua NOT go number a overall.

Now granted and I'll keep saying it, if you watch Burrow this year he absolutely has placed himself in the discussion as a top pick. But until proven otherwise I still think it is Tua

This is the first mock where I've seen Evan Weaver go in the 1st. I know Slimm, CK, and I all like him a lot. Despite what CBS says, though, he'll have to run well to go that early. The jumps and agility stuff doesn't matter very much, but he needs to show a certain amount of speed. He looks fast enough to me, but we'll see. Of the players available, I'd go Tylan Wallace or CJ Henderson with the Houston 1st.

I believe this is an old link as I went to the site without following the link and find Chase Young to the Bengals at 1, Burrow to Miami at 2 and AJ Epenesa at 5 for the Jets. First time I've seen Epenesa in the top 10. He's a guy I'd love to draft with the Houston pick if he's on the board.

I’d like to know if people think this qb class is better than the 2018 class in terms of prospect pure grades.

but I’d like to know it not from how a guys played as a pro in 2019 but a pure head to head prospect aspect.

cause last year I loved the 2018 class off what I saw on game tape but this year I’d have to say that class has really shown some warts.

so purely from a college eval stand point where does this class rate relative to 2018 hell any recent others even.

Tua is better than anyone from 2018. Plays with better rhythm/poise/grace, better feet, processes info quicker, and he's about as accurate as it gets.

Beyond Tua, I'm not sure. I thought 2018 was a little overrated, but I'm not particularly high on any of the other 2020 QB's. I do think a higher than normal amount of QB's have a legit shot of working out, but I don't love any of their chances individually, and I think landing spot will be more important for them than Tua. Herbert and Love would do well to sit a year - maybe the Chargers if Rivers comes back, or maybe SF treats Jimmy G like Alex Smith and lets one of them sit behind him for a year. SF would probably be the ideal destination for either.
