2020 Quarterback Rankings

I'm not salty at all.

Clemson ain't going anywhere.

4 straight 0 touchdown games before he got saved by a 5 wide spread system. Easy pass.

it’s about what a player does well.

you saw what he does well when he works in an efficient system.

your ignoring over a dozen games of him performing at his best, and writing him off due to results he put up in a limiting offensive system.

If you think Danny etling or Zach mettenberger would have matched what burrow did last year, I just wanna hear you say it. Won’t judge you I just actually wanna see you say that the system is what did the work there, and that the last QBs that put up similar stats to 2018 burrow would have benefitted just the same.

Of course they wouldn't.

Joe Burrow is easily one of the 2 best qbs in this draft, I just won't ignore a really bad year followed by a all time great year. Especially when it took a very qb friendly system. His older age and ability to always focus on football greatly effected his play. Doesnt mean I don't like him.

Not at all. I just ain't ready to call him the best qb prospect this specific season.
I absolutely love burrows game tape. I can’t speak for before this season but he was amazing this season. Far from the check down king which slim strangely says he will be. He always went for the HR

What History? Not what some talking head says actual research? Ie Proof???

Not what some some former QB with plugs and veneers said either - like proof

“The hip recovery is only part of that — perhaps a small part.”

So what are the other parts?

Obviously history plays a role. And not just Tagovailoa’s personal history.

Recent NFL drafts show that quarterbacks with a history of college injuries often continue that trend into the NFL.

Sam Bradford had an injury history at Oklahoma. And he had one in the NFL.

Robert Griffin III had an injury history at Baylor. And he had one in the NFL.

Carson Wentz was injured during his time at North Dakota State and as an adolescent. And he has been injured with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Deshaun Waton had two ACL tears in a four-year span between his time at Clemson and his first year with the Houston Texans.

Marcus Mariota had an MCL injury in 2013 and sprained his A/C joint in the final game of the 2014-2015 season. And he has an extensive injury history with the Tennessee Titans.

And Tagovailoa?

Yes, there’s the hip issue. Monday was supposed to be a big day on that front in that Tagovailoa said during the NFL Combine he expected to be medically cleared on March 9 — his four-month post-surgery milestone.

And all the news, according to the NFL Network, was apparently good.

But Tagovailoa will apparently have to ease into his field work. And he won’t be ready to compete in the Alabama Pro Day this month. He hopes to have a Pro Day on April 9.

And the issue that gives pause is Tagovailoa’s hip was just one of a handful of injuries he had during his time at Alabama.

There was the broken index finger and surgery on his throwing (left) hand in March 2018.

There was the sprained knee in October of 2018, which admittedly was not serious.

There was the high ankle sprain in December 2018, which was treated via surgery.

There was the high ankle sprain in October 2019, which was treated via surgery.

And then came the hip injury in November 2019.

NFL doctors will be asked by some teams employing them if Tagovailoa is injury prone, given this history. They will be asked if his frame — 6-foot and 217 pounds — is capable of taking NFL punishment on any sort of consistent basis.

And, assuming teams do studies on Tagovailoa’s bone density and other things, doctors will be asked the million-dollar question: Is this player going to be durable in the future?

Dolphins doctors have in the past demurred about making such predictions.

That's the problem, your saying that his first year at LSU was a "really bad" Year. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't amazing or wow like his 2019 season. Only 3 losses and two of them were against Georgia and Alabama. Aaron Rodgers had a similar numbers his first year at Cal. To me it shows growth, and if you look at Burrows numbers towards the end of the 2018 season he started playing a lot better.

Jordan Love in 2019 is an example of a "really bad" Year.

You have me laughing so hard I peed down my leg

“There was the broken index finger and surgery on his throwing (left) hand in March 2018.”

RG3 was further destroyed by his own franchise who refused to bench him when he couldn’t walk let alone run

Yu really are something else Blu - last year you were comical this is crazy sheet

Are you referring to when I was one of a few backing Drew Lock... who is now the future and starting QB of the Bronco’s?

And all the guru’s and many others were wrong?

What’s comical is how many fail to realize some players are just repetitively injured whilst others can’t stay healthy

I know your not really laughing that hard and I'm sure the injury risk with tua concerns you some. There is nothing more frustrating than having a talented QB who can't stay on the field.

It was god awful. Also comparing a qb prospect to one that played college in the early 2000s to one that played in 2019 is not making it better for Burrow, especially when that same prospect rode the bench for 4 years and had to get his entire mechanics rebuilt by GB.

There's no sugar coating this, he was a 3 year college player and was absolutely terrible most of the season. He didn't have a good 2nd half of a season either, he had one really good game against one of those small conference hype machines, UCF and a solid game against Rice.

His improvement mattered and always will, what he did was special. It doesn't mean his 2018 play is now thrown under the rug.

you are absolutely over dramatizing his 2018 season to fit your agenda. You're clearly still upset Burrow swept the floor with Clemson.

Aaron Rodgers and Matt Stafford had similar numbers their sophomore years. 19TD and 10 INTS for Stafford in 2007, with 2 losses. compared to burrow in 2018 16TD's and 5 INTS and 3 losses.

Matt Ryan 2006 15TDS and 10 INTS and 3 losses

Andrew Luck 2009 13 TD's 4 INTS and 4 losses

Daniel Jones 2016 16 TD 's 9 INTS and 8 losses
Daniel Jones 2017 14TD's 11 INTS and 6 losses

Josh Allen 2017 16TD's and 6 INTS and 3 losses

Why do you think I'm upset about the National Championship game in April? I don't let football consume my mental months later, pointless. Especially a game I knew Clemson was gonna lose.

I've said plenty of times he was fantastic in 2019..

His 2018 wasn't.

Matt Stafford also sucks and sucked at Georgia. I don't see your point.

lol you would think as a dolphins fan our definition of an "awful season" for a QB would be similar.
