2021 Composite Ranking (Defense)

I really like what I saw of Phillips as the year progressed.Am though suprised Pach has him as a 1st rd grade because I was hoping he would stay a 2nd rd prospect.

With that being said awesome rankings Pachyderm

And then imagine it against the pass and the infinite amount of time a QB would have. If we're spending a first round pick on D line, it better be to get a guy who can create consistent pressure. Pass rush is non existent on this team unless it's schemed which in turn leaves the secondary out to dry. Admittedly, this what Flores likes to do and why we've spent so much $$ on DBs, but it may be time to get some guys who can pressure the qb.

With Lawson, AVG, Ogbah, Stowbridge and Van Noy we don't even have much room for a pass rusher on the roster. I would like a pass rusher rostered to play SAM though. Reddick in FA, Ojulari, Ossai or Oweh in the draft all of them could line up as 4-3 SAM or 3-4 Mack and rush the heck out of the passer from multiple angles.

I would look into true Edge prospects next year when we lose Lawson and Ogbah.

Maybe dump Stowbridge and bring someone better as a back up to Ogbah... or draft/sign a back up for Van Noy?

Barmore has been my pick at #18 through most of the process. Imagine that DL against the run w Lawson, Barmore, Davis and Wilkins! Yikes!
Absolutely agree. If "Pot Roast" isn't a Dolphin after round 1, some other team is licking their chops and we blew an opportunity. I don't think he will be around at #18 though, sounds like Dallas is drooling over him at #10:

Trade #3 to Carolina and draft Barmore at #8. There are plenty of Edge guys and WRs on day 2 but there is only one high ceiling disruptive DT. Barmore. Then we could grab an OL upgrade (or BPA) at #18 and finish building our foundation.

Dolphins Dynasty Returns!

Nah, not trading up. If Barmore goes there some other quality player will make it to our pick.

Terrible year to need a larger RDT. I like Onwuzurike but at 288 I'm afraid he won't hold up against the run at the next level.

There are some NT prospects but w 0 pass rush and Davis seems to have settled down well there.

Tufele, Wilson and Tuipulotu look like they would be the most suitable scheme fits after Barmore.

Huh? Trade down from #3 to #8 for an extra 2022 1st and 2021 2nd. Then select Barmore at #8. Sorry for the confusion.

Slimm...Wondering about Dylan Moses...Do you think that knee injury was still bothering him this year?
He looked slow this year...Saw him grab a lot when his man would beat him...

I think the knee was still bothering him some. Whether he's just a slow healer or there's something else wrong with the knee - either isn't good. And a hurt knee has nothing to do with knowing where to line up or knowing what your assignment is. Those issues predate the knee injury.

He doesn't even hit people anymore and plays with no confidence. He's mostly lost out there - especially in coverage. Hopefully he can get it together.

I like seeing Levi Onwuzurike that high.

I feel he has been underrated so far in the various mocks and rankings going around.

And Caleb Farley on day 2 is pretty bold i must say.

I assume Collins ahead of Parsons has something to do with his opt out.

I would jump all over Moses if he made it all the way where you're projecting him just based on measurables and what he showed early in his career. I agree w you on how bad he looked but I think we both know someone will gamble on him somewhere in the 3rd or 4th. I greatly respect the fact you have Cox much higher than most and Moses lower than most. I like Cox in coverage very much even if he is almost as lost as Moses reading and reacting.

I like Onwuzurike too, I just wish he were a bit heavier. He looks like a LB out there. That doesn't mean he can't be good, just as far as a scheme fit for us. Long arms. Very good at keeping blockers off him using his arm length. Very good hand placement but I think his hands could be more active. Hardly any pass rush moves, just the usual disengaging, rip, swim and the occasional spin but he neglects using his hands in his pass rush.

Onwuzurike gives me raw Fletcher Cox vibes. I think he's a steal in the 2nd.
