As much as I believe in Mac10, I think it's important to project him in a bad situation in the NFL and think about what he'd look like in it compared to some of the underclassman ranked above him. He's not going to have the luxuries he had in Tuscaloosa when he gets to the NFL in terms of both surrounding talent and scheming/playcalling that he had under Sarkisian. I'm pulling for him and I hope he lands in a terrific situation. He's better than a lot of people think, and in every facet. He got a lot of deserved hype for being by far the best QB in Mobile, but as you can see from my rankings - I believe a lot of that was simply due to how poor the rest of his competition really were as next level prospects.

Davis Mills is the kid that I'm not going to be surprised if he ended up the best quarterback from this class. Or at least one of the top two. He's had an incomplete college career and hasn't played much football, but what little he has put on film has been spectacular in my opinion - especially considering the situation he was in. Has all the physical tools he needs to take off at the next level. 5 star recruit and the top rated pro style quarterback coming out of high school for a reason. Keep an eye on where this kid goes and what happens.

Trevor Lawrence has so much big game experience and is so wonderfully talented, but he has warts. He's more accurate throwing on the move than he is standing in the pocket. He'll need to learn how to give himself up in the NFL when he scrambles instead of taking a lot of those unnecessary hits too. If you need a quarterback at the top of this draft, he's the kid you have to take.

If it weren't for Collin Hill's gingerbread knees and advanced age he'd rank as a day 3 prospect. He can flat spin the football and I know guys like CKparrothead have also liked him for a long time.

I'll sticky this thread and continue to add the rest of my composite offensive positional grades in the future.

There's a handful of these backs that have 1st round abilities, but unfortunately for them they play a Day 2 position. Maybe one or two can get lucky and hear their name called in Round 1.

Rhamondre Stevenson is a kid that a lot of folks around here like to talk about for whatever reason - running style and career remind me of Eddie Lacy except without the burst. Complete liability right now as a blocker and has some off field concerns regarding failed drug tests.

Teams will get their backs in Rounds 2-4 in this draft and walk away feeling good about it.

Let's start with the obvious - if you've paid any attention to my posts regarding Penei Sewell you understand I don't necessarily subscribe to the generational theory. However, he's a terrific athlete for his size and can get out and move in space. Pretty accurate at hitting moving targets. Can be beaten by speed rushers. For me, it's also very important to see these kids play, a lot can change from one year to the next. Experience is one of the most critical factors for offensive lineman, and Sewell only has 2 years of experience. I think it's important to operate in 2021 and not be stuck in 2019 when it comes time for the rubber to meet the road.

Dillon Radunz has the most upside of any offensive lineman in this draft in my opinion, and I think he proved that at the Senior Bowl. I believe what he put on display in Mobile was just the beginning. However, his team only played one game in 2020. The difference is what he was able to show during a week of practice in Mobile. You have to decide what you're willing to bet on.

Trey Smith can be the most dominant offensive lineman I've seen. If it weren't for the issue of dealing with blood clots in his lungs that has caused him to be sidelined at times during his career, he's a 1st Round pick in my opinion.

I don't know if I've ever seen an offensive lineman get more of a boost off one game than the boost Rashawn Slater has seemed to get from his game against Chase Young. Cole Van Lanen had the same type of great game against Chase Young once. The other time he faced him he was completely dominated by Chase Young. The best thing about Slater is he's shown versatility by playing both tackle spots, and could probably play any position along the offensive line at least competently. Although I'm not sure if he quite has the overall length that teams in the NFL desire to stick at tackle in most schemes. But again, he's another kid that you didn't see on the field in 2020.

Landon Dickerson was on his way to cementing himself as the top Center in the draft until he suffered a knee injury in the SEC Championship Game. 'Big Country' as we like to call him is a flat out nasty dude that had perfected the art of getting inside the head of defensive lineman. He and Creed Humphrey grade out very closely in my opinion, with Humphrey getting the slight edge due to Landon's knee injury.

If you can't find a receiver in this draft then you aren't trying. Probably better than last year's WR class when you get right down to it.

I don't know how many times I said from the beginning of the season that both DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle were both top 10 players on my board. Now they probably are on everybody's. Neither one could ever catch a single pass in the NFL for all anybody really knows - but you could never point to 10 better players. Or 10 better people. They will be highly sought after once GM's really start to feel the pressure cooker of the clock on draft day.

Trevon Grimes is a kid I feel like is just going to explode in the NFL. I'm still not sure I have him high enough.

As I mentioned previously, the slot WR class was probably the most fun of any group this year to evaluate for me - and how creative you could be matching them up on safeties and linebackers. All the eye candy, motion, blazing speed. Even Smitty got in on some of it. That's what you do to generate offense.

A few solid #2/3 type receivers could potentially be found and come off the board early part of Day 3.

Go get your playmakers and receivers if you need 'em.

That's a wrap for offensive grades.

I have a dozen offensive players with 1st Round Grades - most of 'em will come off the board in the first dozen picks. If you're a team picking in the late teens, keep an eye out for a player or two out of that bunch that falls to you. I know I would.

You're even tougher on Rondale than I am.

There are NFL people talking about taking him over Waddle. Which is nuts.

I'm not sure what choice I had taking in all the factors that I know. 4th round was the best I could do. I'll believe he goes before Waddle when I see it.

Lucky for him though, all he needs to worry about is where NFL teams grade him. I think he might go 3rd round. I didn't really want to be that hard him. Felt like I had to be staying true to my process.

No I get it. Sometimes I see this guy or that guy compared to Tavon Austin. I think Rondale is the most Austin-like except even shorter. If he's 5'9" then I'm George Clooney.

He doesn't catch the ball down the field. Which is just like Tavon coming out.

Add all that to the fact he hasn't been healthy since that standout freshman year and I just don't understand the hype.

That's right. Just depends on how you look at it. You could also say 4th round is taking it pretty easy on a kid that has a resume as short as he is, not fast, will be 2 years removed from the last touchdown he scored, and wasn't the best receiver on his own B1G team.

Honestly the more I've watched D'Wayne Eskridge, who is a guy you and Simon both kept telling me to watch, the more I have come to believe he deserves 1st round billing with Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, and Ja'Marr Chase.

There's something extra there, aside from the speed and quickness. Several somethings. Things he's had all along, even if you go back to like 2018 film, etc. I don't buy arguments about his age giving him unfair advantages. I think the more I look at him, the more I believe he could be another T.Y. Hilton or even a DeSean Jackson or Antonio Brown.

I like Rashod Bateman. He's fun to watch. If he's a lot better than I think he'll be it would make sense to me because I also had a blind spot on DeAndre Hopkins. I think we all have blind spots and maybe this is mine. But I do have a tough time seeing him be more than a bigger slot. A JuJu Smith-Schuster, but maybe not quite JuJu's physicality.

I'm with you to a degree, I think Eskridge is a special football player with some 1st round abilities in terms of speed, acceleration, burst, explosion. T.Y. Hilton was a kid that I listed as underrated so many times even going back to his sophomore year after I watched him against Alabama when we opened the season with FIU. I think the comparison with Eskridge is dead on.

Even more is how unselfish and dedicated to his team Eskridge was to keep switching back and forth between DB and WR. Ironically I think you can sometimes learn more about how to play WR by playing DB and vice versa - and I think that's something that ended up benefiting him even though he may not have known it at the time. But you can't coach that kid's speed and burst. You might as well sit your a** down and drink some gatorade if he gets a step on you. You ain't gon catch him.
