2021 Depth Chart (UPDATED: 09-02-2021, 01:34PM)

That looks pretty good but I think Holland will be a starter from day 1.
Grier and Flo have turned our roster around top to bottom. And the bottom part is now the most interesting. So let's say right now I'm close to the final 53. Next step, who there is inactive on game day. Now see how hard it is to go below 53.

I’ve come at it from who is safe and who it isn’t in as much as we can say that about the Front Office!

QB: Tua, Brissett (Sinnett to PS)

WR: Parker, Fuller, Waddle, Williams

Probably 2 or 3 from Bowden, Wilson, Grant, Foster, Hollins, Hurns with wr7 really being a ST guy if they keep 7. Perry to PS

TE: Gesicki, Sheehan, Long

Maybe Smythe as well but he could get flipped for a late round pick depending on Long’s readiness. Myarick off to PS again.

FB: Carter, the contract has no savings if he is cut and that’s 2.7m of dead cap.

RB: Gaskin, Brown, Doaks.

Ahmed is on the bubble and it depend how many they want to keep and what happens with Smythe. Can he be sashed on the PS? Laird and Scarlett don’t make the roster IMHO.

OL: I think they keep nine but dress the following assuming they are all fit to go: Jackson, Kindley, Skura, Hunt, Eichenberg, Davis, Dieter and Fluker. One of Coleman, Pankey, Jones or Tom if they feel they need another center. At least two of these end up on the PS.

That 21 locks (ahem) on offence.

CB: Jones, Howard, Igbo, Coleman, Needham. Perry or maybe Wiltz if they carry another CB.

Saf: Rowe, McCain, Jones, Holland

Holley to the PS, Fejedelem is a cap casualty.

Off ball LB: Baker, McKinney, Roberts, Riley

On ball LB: Ginks, Biegel, Scarlett

Eguavon and Munson are on the bubble and probably only one makes it, Munson would benefit if Roberts can’t go straight away and ends up on IR.

NT: Davis & Jenkins. Jones goes to PS.

DT: Wilkins, Seiler, Butler

DE: Ogbah, Phillips and one of Ledbetter, Strowbridge and Render. The losers may go to Ps.

That’s 23 locks with one or two spots up for grabs depending on if that keep extra wide outs for ST purposes.

The 3 specialists and probably another LS on the PS
Really good, 1 thing to note, is that CB Perry and Wiltz is the same person. He had a last name change, can't remember if it was this offseason or last.

I was thinking the same thing, but I think I used "over the cap" and they had both listed at the time. Hence the confusion, at least that's my story.

Bored on this Father's day as I await the servants bringing my breakfast. Beer will come later, followed by a night at the Speedway if it doesn't rain.

QB: Tua, Brissett,
RB: Gaskin, Brown, Ahmed, Doaks
FL1: DVP, Williams
FL2: Fuller
SLot: Waddle, Wilson, Bowden
OLT: Jackson, Coleman (or Jones)
OLG: Kindley, Davis
C: Skura, Deiter
ORG: Hunt
ORT: Eichenberg, Fluker
TE: Gesicki, Long, Shaheen, Smythe

Deep S: Holland, McCourty
Box S: Rowe, Br. Jones,
CB1: By. Jones, Perry
CB2: Howard, Iggy
Sl CB: Coleman, Needham
WSLB: Baker, Riley
Mike: McKinney, Scarlett
SSLB: Phillips, Van Ginkle, Beigel
DT/DE: Ogbah, Seiler, Strowbridge
NT: Davis, Jenkins
DT: Wilkins, Butler

WC: Carter
P: Pallardy
PK: Sanders
LS: John Denney

Yellow: trade candidate
Red: Bubble player

With only 4 true safeties (and that's by including McCourty), I may have under-allocated here, but with Flo's insistence on players playing multiple roles, I think we might use one of the backup CBs here if necessary (or a practice squad guy).

Also, I have 10 linemen listed and that's probably one too many. This decision gets easier if neither Coleman or Jones looks like they are ready. While I didn't put him in red, I'm not 100% convinced that Fluker sticks.

I left Roberts off because I think he may start the season on P.U.P.

Jesse Davis probably should have been listed four times as the immediate backup to everyone but Center.

John Denney - you sure? LOL,

Could Eluemenour become the swing Tackle and allow Jesse Davis to be traded?

Also I think they have kept Ledbetter around for reason and he may supercede Strowbridge.

Maybe Nate Holley at safety over Perry as McCourty can play boundary.

Denny will always be our long snapper. LOL

Eluemenour is a Guard. 6'4 335ish... he might stick, but I think he's a longshot. I think both Fluker and Davis are better. I guess we'll see, but those two can (and have) played Tackle too, and I doubt that he can do that for more than a game or two.

Ledbetter maybe... I have him farther down.

Holley maybe... tho, he's the player I was talking about when I mentioned bringing someone up from the practice squad.

I used to do this on this forum WAY back, like back during the 2007-2010 seasons I believe. There are a lot of websites with rosters and depth charts, but they typically have players in wrong spots or players who should be starting as backups, etc. So I used to create my own depth chart file I updated as often as possible, so I decided to take a crack at one for 2021. Now this first file might be pretty rough, so I am asking for any and all input on where certain players maybe should be compared to where I have them now. For example, is Isaiah Wilson at backup right tackle behind Hunt AND Davis the right spot? Also let me know if you see anyone missing (though I think I have everyone to date).

Thanks for sharing. Not sure that Jordan Scarlett talent wise is #6 RB or #2. Tough to grade that turd pile at RB.
