2021 Depth Chart (UPDATED: 09-02-2021, 01:34PM)

If this is indeed the case, I can make that adjustment
This is the alignment when they go 4-3, or Nickle/ Dime (with 4 down).

But we run mostly a 3 man front in base / early down situations.

What do we now think the LBrs look like? Starting Baker and McKinney and then Roberts and Scarlet?
Drafting a starter?

Here's my post draft way too soon final 53 for 2021(in order):

QB-Tua, Brissett
RB-Doaks, Gaskin, Brown, Scarlett
WE-Parker, Fuller, Waddle, Williams, Wilson, Bowden, Hollins
TE-Gesicki, Long, Shaheen, Carter
LT-Jackson, Fluker
LG-Kindley
C-Skura, Deiter
RG-Hunt
RT-Eichenberg, Davis

DE-Ogbah, Wilkins, Phillips, Sieler, Strowbridge
NT-Davis, Butler, Jenkins
LB-AVP, Baker, Mckinney, Biegel, Riley, Scarlett, Roberts, Eguavoen
CB-Howard, Jones, Iggy, Coleman, Needham
FS-McCain, Jones
SS-Rowe, Holland

ST-Sanders, Palardy, Ferguson

On paper, at least, it looks like a much better roster than last year. If the injury bug stays away this could very well be a playoff roster.

Great idea, great job, and THANK YOU @Nublar7 !

I think this is an excellent potential depth chart. The only bits where I might see it going differently would be these:
1. We will likely play Nickel as our base, so that would mean Jerome Baker sits and an extra DB (Jevon Holland/Nik Needham) might start
2. Jaelan Phillips will play a hybrid position, but he may have his hand in the dirt more of the time, making him technically a DE and Wilkins a DT, or possibly pushing Raekwon Davis to a rotational player
3. Bernardrick McKinney may be a 1st and 2nd down thumper, but on obvious passing situations he will likely come off
4. Jesse Davis could start at either guard or RT if Eichenberg isn't ready immediately, and with all 3 G's competing for both spots

But this is as solid of a projected lineup as I've seen in many years. Well done and it looks like a solid depth chart and lots of decent players going to be cut from our camp.

I’ve come at it from who is safe and who it isn’t in as much as we can say that about the Front Office!

QB: Tua, Brissett (Sinnett to PS)

WR: Parker, Fuller, Waddle, Williams

Probably 2 or 3 from Bowden, Wilson, Grant, Foster, Hollins, Hurns with wr7 really being a ST guy if they keep 7. Perry to PS

TE: Gesicki, Sheehan, Long

Maybe Smythe as well but he could get flipped for a late round pick depending on Long’s readiness. Myarick off to PS again.

FB: Carter, the contract has no savings if he is cut and that’s 2.7m of dead cap.

RB: Gaskin, Brown, Doaks.

Ahmed is on the bubble and it depend how many they want to keep and what happens with Smythe. Can he be sashed on the PS? Laird and Scarlett don’t make the roster IMHO.

OL: I think they keep nine but dress the following assuming they are all fit to go: Jackson, Kindley, Skura, Hunt, Eichenberg, Davis, Dieter and Fluker. One of Coleman, Pankey, Jones or Tom if they feel they need another center. At least two of these end up on the PS.

That 21 locks (ahem) on offence.

CB: Jones, Howard, Igbo, Coleman, Needham. Perry or maybe Wiltz if they carry another CB.

Saf: Rowe, McCain, Jones, Holland

Holley to the PS, Fejedelem is a cap casualty.

Off ball LB: Baker, McKinney, Roberts, Riley

On ball LB: Ginks, Biegel, Scarlett

Eguavon and Munson are on the bubble and probably only one makes it, Munson would benefit if Roberts can’t go straight away and ends up on IR.

NT: Davis & Jenkins. Jones goes to PS.

DT: Wilkins, Seiler, Butler

DE: Ogbah, Phillips and one of Ledbetter, Strowbridge and Render. The losers may go to Ps.

That’s 23 locks with one or two spots up for grabs depending on if that keep extra wide outs for ST purposes.

The 3 specialists and probably another LS on the PS

That looks pretty good but I think Holland will be a starter from day 1.
