2021 Draft was Home Run City for Grier. | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums

2021 Draft was Home Run City for Grier.

Phillips was a monster today, this was his coming out. Super excited what the future holds for him.

Waddle, Phillips and Holland, my goodness that looks really great right now.
What about Hunter Long....I'm sure he's got a rookie record too...

for most consecutive weeks inactive by a 3rd rounder

Phillips is just starting to show his potential. He's got enormous upside.

Holland is Hollywood Von. Enough said!!!

Waddle plays bigger than his size. Gutty player.

Tua is a savvy, heady QB, who displays tremendous touch and accuracy.

Hunt is a gamer, maybe not the best but the guy plays his heart out.

I want to see Hunt catching the ball in short yardage with Wilkins as the FB so the D thinks it's a running play.

Goes to show how piss poor our coaching staff was from weeks 1 to 8.

With the money and resources we have, finding a new OC, RT, WR and RB shouldn’t be that difficult.

This should be a fun FA season. 2020 we are about signing any and everyone. 20221 was about being wise and frugal in order to have the money to add top talent in 2022.

You gotta expect the Dolphins will throw big money at whoever agrees to replace Jesse Davis, with a bonus $3.6M in cap savings for releasing 77.

About that center spot. You could just pay Ryan Jensen from TB but he’s not elite and you’ll overpay. It’s ok if you do because he represents a big upgrade with valuable experience. I don’t feel we’ll go after him.

I’d turn my attention to the Saints and Lions, who between them have 3 centers that could start for us and improve our OL. Frank Ragnow from Detroit is a pretty good player making top dollar, maybe a winless Lions team can be talked into trading a player who’s talents are being wasted. I’d talk to them about Taylor Decker, Frank Ragnow, Deandre Swift, Jamal Williams and Jeff Okudah. I’d take a huge chunk of the Goff salary in exchange for talented players. Plus Goff would be a great backup for two years.

If you can’t get Ragnow, maybe you set your sights on New Orleans. Cesar Ruiz and Alvin Kamara would fit in nicely with this offense. Like really, nicely. Saints are $57 million over the cap and will need to get creative to field a competitive roster for a few years. With Terron Armstead, Marcus Williams, Marshon Lattimore and Jamie’s Winston all hitting free agency, that franchise is going to struggle. Poaching Ruiz and Kamara would be high on my to do list. Sounds crazy but might be possible if they are in jam. Drew Brees might help us out after all.

As for the WRs, they will be out there. Bummed that Sutton resigned with the Broncos, but Adams, Godwin, M. Williams or Robinson would really help. I’d take Parker or Fuller for another year at about 60% of what they are making now. Ju-ju? Idk. I’d only sign him at below market value.

DJ Chark or Michael Gallup would be welcome additions as well on better terms than the bigger names.

Long story short, it appears the FO and coaching staff will buy themself the extra year they need to spend big in free agency.

I’m really hoping that first round pick can be used in a defensive front 7 guy. I’d like that offense to be built up in FA. I’ll understand if we need to draft an OL in the first round though. Helping Tua and establishing a running game have to be paramount in 2022.
