Last season Miami was 9-0 when scoring over 21 points .. When scoring under 21 points they were 0-7 ..

This season, we have not scored above 20 points in either of the two games.. Not surprisingly we are 0-2 .

So when looking at the game, just say to yourself we need to average about a touchdown a quarter to win (yes, 28 pts is higher than 21) . And there ya go ..

Really? Damn, that must be some new math.

I think the magic number is 3...as in 3rd down. We more times than not give up big plays on 3rd down.

Reading the posts here, you never know with the people on this board.. They may think 4 td's = 21 pts .

Thank you! Someone who is actually looking through the hype to the real problem.

Yes indeed, a game does equal two in the standings.. I find it amusing you can't even get that..

Miami was 9-7 last season.. If they had lost that Buffalo game last season they would have been 8-8 , a .500 record..

But because they won that one game they were TWO games over .500 .. Get it yet ??

Oh, and let me continue . Had Miami won last week (one game) , Miami would have been .500 right now with a 1-1 record.. But now that they lost that single game, they now have to win TWO games over the next two weeks to get to that same .500 mark . Is it getting through to you yet ?

If Miami beats tennessee, they are 1-2 . If they lose to tennessee, Miami is 0-3 . Again, a TWO game difference determined by the outcome of one game

Like I said, and Don Shula said, one game = two games in the NFL

Lets go dolphins, lets keep our heads up

All you had to say was Shula said it!!

Yep, Miami is presently 2 games UNDER .500 . Had they won both games, they'd be 2 games OVER .500 .. A 4 game swing to their record in just 2 games played ..

This week says it all.. If Miami loses they are 3 games under .500.. And if they win, they are only one game under .500 .. Again, a one game outcome equals 2 games affecting their record ..

That cannot be disputed .

Is this for real? You now in every sport it works the same way right? Its called 2 coloumns a win and a loss. Like if the Heat were 0-2 theyd have to win 2 games to be .500 or am I missing something?

If you look league wide 21 points is usually the magic number most teams that reach that point first will win and usually only one team reaches that point...Its a madden point...

Where did I say it doesn't work for every sport ? Shula said the difference is, in the NFL there are only 16 games, so every game is more important than other sports..

In the NBA they play 82 games, so in essense one NFL game would equal about 5 games in the NBA season .

The one game equals two still applies . Just look at what Miami's record will be if they win or lose this Sunday.. It's a difference of two in their record .
