I wanted the win vs playing for a better draft position. Give me a break that draft stuff will take care of itself.

Did anyone fine it odd that after Sims nice catch we ran a play on first down with Ajay. The refs then said the patsies called a time out. We then run Lamar to the one yrd line on 2nd down. I was yelling at the tv. I get we won, I get few care, but another example of a crap call against the fins. I just don't understand how they get that call wrong.

I assume you meant "draft stuff". Either way it still makes absolutely zero sense

Ajai had a run for no gain on first down.
That was the play that they actually said New England called a timeout. That play didn't count. It's no biggie, but attention to details costs us a lot of games

The OP is right to be confused. Contrary to what the horrible announcing crew were saying, I think Belichek called a TO after the Ajayi run. Then Ed "Guns" Hochuli confuses matters further by resetting the game clock. Terrible communication to the viewer all around, but I think the refs had the downs correct in the end.

New guy- you and I are on same page. I only brought it up due to the fact that we miss so many "chances". No biggie, but come on man! The refs and our coaches and players missed it. We miss the kick or have a turn over and trust me that would have mattered.

The call was that the timeout was called after the first down run, so the down results of the Ajayi run still counts. Sims had run out of bounds after his catch, which stopped the clock, so it would have made no sense to call a time out before the Ajayi first down run.

I had my TV split between two games, and did not have the audio on the Dolphins game, so I missed the timeout announcement confusion. I only saw the down and assumed it counted.
