That is the most amount of points the Dolphins have scored ALL SEASON (vs. Colts). That is NOT enough to be a consistent winner in this league. The offense has only scored 17 and 13 points the past 2 games. This is pathetic offensive output in today's NFL. This is one reason I think we are still in trouble. Unless the offense wakes up, the defense can sustain carrying this team through the rest of the season.

Sherman is a serious impediment to this team. His play-calling is mind-numbing, and the same problems resurfaced last night. It is becoming obvious that the problems with the run game isn't personnel, it's coaching and playcalling. Even with the pathetic performance of Andy Dalton, I thought that their offensive gameplan was lightyears more advanced than the Dolphins'.

If we don't start averaging more than 20 points a game, this team won't win many more games.

*Edit: argh, they scored 27 points against Falcons. Still not enough, considering its an aberration. And they are going backwards...

Yep, wanted to post something along those lines this morning but figured i'd wait and enjoy the win a bit longer.

Fact of the matter is, the defense carried the struggling offense last night. We created 4 TOs, had a pick 6 and a sack, and still only managed 22.

While I'm no fan of Sherman, we did leave 10 points on the field with the miller fumble and the sturgis miss. Bengals got a good D and we committed no turnovers. It's encouraging.

Are we not counting the 27 points against the Falcons now?

Oops, I gave the offense too much credit for last night. They only scored 13 points.

Last week we had a thread talking about the last time our offense scored 30 or more points. Don't remember the exact number of games but it has been an extremely long time. Every game I am hoping to see an offensive explosion. You would think we would at least luck up one game. If this is frustrating to us can you imagine how frustrating it is to the defense.

You are correct.....but if a team has a hot sinky garbage Offensive Line (OL) you simply can NOT score. It's true that the OL, does not throw passes---but they allow the QB to throw passes. It's true that the OL does not catch passes----but they allow passes to be caught and lets routes be run. It's true that the OL, does not score TD----but the OL allows you to score TDs period. Bottomline, until the Phinz get a decent OL they will never be a consistent scoring team period. Hell if the Phinz OL was just at an average to good level the Phinz would be as dominate team this year. This site has to many ball watchers who do not understand just how important having a good OL is, hopefully the Phinz understand that fact and go offensive line HEAVY during the 2014 draft. That's right IMHO the Phinz MUST draft both an LT and RT within the first 3 rounds in the 2014 draft. I'm sick of garbage level talent at T, I don't give a monkey's butt how high you pick an OL player. Bottomline Offensive Linemen are not play makers.....BUT the OL allows you to MAKE plays....so get two DAMN good T's in Miami ASAP, to allow the Phinz a chance to score and make many BIG plays in the future :-)

We all know the OL is the problem. But the playcalling is a problem too because it doesn't compensate for the poor protection.
