First off, how bout a Hell Yea for another Dolphin win!

Many of you will care less about this thread, but for some who get to go to games far and few in between may enjoy this thread. My last Dolphins game was the season finale vs. the Jets in 2003. Grew up in Virginia loving every minute watching Dan Marino do his thing(as a child, 24 now). I now live outside Charlotte and have been anticipating this game for several years. My second game, so you could imagine how excited I was. I made it to training camp this summer to watch the inter squad scrimmage. You cant imagine how jealous of all of you that live so close and can attend game and training camp regularly.

Anyways, back to my story. I was able to get seats at the 30 yard line, row 3 visitor side. I went with a friend who is a Panther fan. BTW, impressed with the number of Fin fans out there tonight, good showing. Around me we had a mixture of panthers/fins fans around. Being that close to the field most people were standing to watch the game. We even had a 6'9" dolphin fan in front of us standing (No lie I actually asked this mammoth of a man how tall he was later in the game, cool man though).

So, my friend and I are standing to watch the game, like everyone else. Halftime comes and some Fins fans behind us get security to come down and complain about us standing to watch the game. They are all in Pennington jerseys. While security is moving down the aisle to talk us, the older woman in the group is cursing at us about sitting down. (Its halftime, we were trying to leave are seats and rehydrate at this point, but we have security coming to "talk" to us. We tell security what was going on and they leave telling us that we have done nothing wrong. After they leave, these "Fin" fans continue to say very unkind things to put it politely. Most of the comments are directed to my friend who is significantly taller than me and wearing a steve smith jersey. I am in a Greenish Polo (Sorry my Fin gear is limited, going to the game and seeing the gear some fans have I am ashamed I don't have anything to wear to the game.) But, in my attire it would be hard distinguish who I was rooting for.

At this point I become livid at the comments this woman is making. This woman is old enough to be my mother and she cussing like a sailor. I turn around and tell this woman, that I am A DOLFAN, and am embarrassed the way you are acting. I told her we are not JETS fans, and that she should be proud of her team and STAND UP and watch the game like the rest of us. Oh, this set them off and I became the target. It didn't matter if I was a Fin fan, I was the scum of the earth for saying a word to them. Her son who was my age told me we could take this up outside the game. Dude, if you didn't run out after the game(giving us the bird), I'd be happy to take you up on your offer. (send me a PM).

BOTTOM LINE, don't be these fans. I don't want the rep that Jets fans get. And I know we have kinda got a bad rep lately(stabbing someone, what's that about?)

After the game, come to find out (from other attendees) these fans were relatives of Chad Pennington. Panther and Fins fans around us thanked my friend and I after the game for being so civil in a heated situation.

I half expected to be treated like this from a Panther fan, being a visitor to the stadium. But, never from one of our own. Has anyone else ever felt like they have been mistreated from one of their "own" fans?

P.S. Enjoyed the game. Love the Fins. Felt great winning in an opposing stadium. Met some of the "Dolfan Bandits," they were totally cool as well.

Run Ricky Run!!!!!!!

All teams have obnoxious morons in their fan base, including this one. Glad you got to see a good game even though you had this unfortunate experience.

I walked into a bathroom at Joe Robbie one time and there was a Jet fan completely knocked out on the floor. I didn't see who hit him but it was very obvious he had been punched in the face or hit with a brick (it was pretty bad) The odd thing was everyone was lined up at the stalls and just stepping over him like he wasn't even laying there. For all I know he had it coming but still thats pretty bad. I went out and told the cops and went back to my seats (didn't feel like answering a bunch of questions and missing the rest of the game)

Screw em! They should be on there feet screaming for the dolphins not sitting on there *** worrying about someone else. I doesn't matter what you wear either as long as you show up and cheer your vocal to shreds for your dolphins..I have only been to one Dolphins game and that was in the preseason versus the Falcons a couple years ago (been to plenty of marlins games) and to think I live just across the state from Joe Robbie (Landshark :D) so I can't say I've experienced many fans inside the stadiums.

You should have just thrown a cup of warm piss in their face and then went to town with a tube sock full of padlocks.

i was at the post 9/11 game vs the raiders, it was kickoff and our group and rest of stadium standing and i hear someone behind me chirp, man you need to sit down. i turn around and theres this big black dude wearing a steeler jersey staring at me. i screamed back to him you better get used to it i ll be here the whole game. him and his buddies gave me that look and mumbled something. they cheered for the raiders the whole game we stood the whole game. they disappeared after fiedler scored. thought i might get my butt whipped after the game but it was worth it. luckily fans in our area agreed with me cause they stood whole game also.

Living here in Minnesota I've had some crazy run in's with Vikings fans. One year my brother in-law, dad, and my best friends dad came to Minneapolis for a Bears game. My brother in-law and dads best friends are huge bears fans. Around the middle of the third quarter this Viking fan started trying to steal these ladies seats next to us (who were also Bears fans). Being the nice guy I am I told the guy to take a hike, in not so nice words as he was also starting to invade our seats space. Well the guy told me to F off since I was a Bears fan and that he was staying put. My dad looked at my with that don't do anything stupid look, so I just got up and went to get an usher. The usher game down checked the guys ticket and escourted him away. The ladies thanked me and all was well. Until about 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. I got up to go out of the bathroom and while walking from the stairwell tunnel to the concourse I just see this fist fly right in front of my face. It was actually so close that is grazed my eye and knocked out my contact. I didn't see who it was so I just turned and punched him a couple of times right in the face. Turns out it was the guy who we had escourted from our seats. He was waiting for me for about a quarter of football so he could sucker punch me whenever he got the chance. To make the story even worse both he and I were ejected from the game. Even though everyone said I was just protecting myself I had to go as the Metrodome has a pretty strict no fighting policy. I had to call my dad and tell him the story and that I wouldn't be returning to my seat. I thought he was gonna be pissed but he was more worried that I was okay and was actually happy I gave the guy what he deserved. He ended up leaving the game and we finished watching it together from Humphrey's a sport bar thats across the street from the Metrodome. This will always be one of my craziest and best sports memories ever.

My bad experience of the game was that a dolphins fan was yelling at a panthers fan in one of the parking lots. Basically telling him to get out of the car so he can inflict physical pain. Everyone was just staring at him, but my first thought was "Great way to show off our fan base"

who was in the car the panthers defense?

My first game was also at that 2003 game against the jets when ricky went wild. My second game was the division winning game last year against the jets as well! good times. I live 5 hours away from Char, NC. I wish i could of gone.
