very quickly....hopefully we can get a 1st for JT, which would give us 3 1st rounders...our 2nd is a 1st with new england forfeiting their pick...having 1, 27, and 32 would be a great starting point for this team. imagine hitting on all three??? that would be sick....stockpile picks BP....make us proud:up:

I just pray that they all can make the team and play up to thier ability. I'm tired us drafting bad. Last year was kinda nice sofar.

And it could kill a team just as fast. You don't need 1st rounders to be winners...but you do need players that love the game and are coachable.

Hopefully Jax #71 and #89 both 3rd rounders for JT . I think it would be better since we can still get 2 really good players and they will be cheaper. Id much rather have 2 3rds as to 1 1st for him

How about getting the first from Jacksonville and then trading down with a team for their 2nd rounder in 2008 and 1st in 2009?

That would be sweet.

If it came down to having JT around to battle-test Jake Long all summer, and provide his leadership and QB pressure during the season or... getting a pair of thirds, I'd keep him. If he retires, he retires. We'd retain his rights for the duration of his contract, ala Barry Sanders.

A pair of thirds could turn your team around if you hit with both of them, but they are no sure thing to even be starters for you. It's simply not enough compensation compared to what JT could bring to a solid playoff team who knew their window of opportunity was limited.

With a pair of thirds, you can go shopping, and get:
2 CBs on a very deep draft
A back up qb, plus your starting OG
the sexy: a quality WR and your starting, blocking TE
Fattest Human Being in the Draft, for 3-4 NT depth, and a great MLB like Bell from UNLV

If we dont get a second or better we should keep him. The leadership and pass rushing ability along with the fact he is regarded as the favorite Dolphin is enough to just keep him istead of giving him away just to get something for him. His value onthe team is worth more than a 2nd day pick.

We can draft a stud pass rusher with next years top ten pick.

Or, even with good talent evaluators, you could still get crap. I want at least a first, or a 2nd and something else in order to reduce the risk. We know what JT can do. The higher the draft pick, the less doubts a team usually has about a prospect.

I'd be happy with a 2 and a 4 for JT...we need a few players still and having 3 picks in round 2 would be great for us and the 4 would make up for the 5 we don't have.

Ozzy rules!!
