who will be our LBs when in this scheme? F/A rookies?

I think it depends #1 if Seau stays (which I think he'll probably be let go) and #2 who is drafted. I don't see any LB coming from FA with the whole CBA fiasco. So I would say: Zach Thomas, Channing Crowder, Donnie Spragan, Derrick Pope...............feel free to insert a Rookie Draft Pick in for Spragan or Pope.

We did use it some last year. Our scheme interchanges between a normal 4-3, 4-3 over, 4-3 under and 3-4 sets.

:wink: Obviously Crowder, Thomas, and most likely Spragan.... the rest would probably be drafted (maybe another MLB) and then a pass rushing linebacker through FA... if K.Carter is gone this year (because he might not want to restructure), a lot of our ability to play 3-4 may rest on getting another NT and using Manny Wright more...

Yea, we used 3-4 this past year also. 3-4, 4-3..It's still gonna be Zack, Crowder, and the third one is up in the air I think

Miami is primarily a 3-4 team. Jason Taylor might have his hand down more often then not, but the team uses 3-4 personnel with 3-4 assignments in 3-4 alignments.

One of our ILBs needs to be a bigger player. Zach Thomas can get away with it, as he's usually got Kevin Carter/Vonnie Holliday and Keith Traylor playing 2-gap infront of him, but the other ILB generally has the guy infront of him penetrating upfield and has to deal with blockers. Pope probabaly isnt going to see the field at the same time as Thomas. Crowder is the other ILB.

He played that Joker position really well last year
