1. Gus Frerotte: I don't care what Sage did, Gus will start next week, but he HAS to play better... a lot better.

2. Scott Linehan: His play calling is terrible. They run the ball in the seocnd quarter on 2nd and 12, and then throw the ball...twice...DEEP on 2nd and 3rd and 1.

3. Reggie Howard: He stinks

Jeez

right on.Linehan needs to give ronnie the ball 20-25 times a game.If we woulds gave it to him tonight 20 times, man he woulda had a hell of a game.

How is Chambers not on this list? He was up against a good cornerback in Patrick Surtain, but NO #1 WR in the league gets shutout in the receptions department for almost the entire game.

Is he off the hook because of two meaningless receptions in garbage time? This guy is the ultimate underachiever, it's disgusting because he has so much talent. I'm so sick of defending him.

I watched the game he was getting open just Frerotte wasn't getting the ball there. I usually defend Frerotte but I watched the game today and was greatly disappointed on our second field goal that would of been a TD if he threw the ball a foot higher because Chambers was wide open sitting on the endzone line.

umm because he was constantly overthrown, and he still ended up with 88 yards and a TD...leading the team in both.

I didn't see the game, but I think the numbers speak for themselves. Both of those catches were in garbage time. And I specifically remember Rose calling out Chambers on a dropped ball in the 3rd quarter.. a ball he "should have" caught.

I'm not sure if he was consistently overthrown (outside of one play), I don't recall him be targeted much. (Although I could be wrong)

If you were able to watch the game you'd realize how silly this post is. Chambers was getting open consistently... Gus just can't seem to throw the football within 5 yards of him.

What should've been a TD to Chambers right before halftime was one of the worst under throws in NFL history considering how easy of a throw it was. But Gus managed to top that with his misthrow to a wideopen Booker in the end zone for yet another missed easy TD.

Our WRs haven't been great, but they were not the problem in this game whatsoever.

I admitted I could have been wrong, it's difficult to get a take on the game through the radio and gamecast, but it sounded like Chambers was just a complete nonfactor throughout most of the game, outside of that one throw you are referring to. I don't remember Rose or Cefalo mentioning any other poorly thrown balls in the direction of Chambers.

I still don't see how some can blame the play calling.

I mean we always have guys wide open or in positions to make plays.

All the coaches can do is call the plays. Well out team has had many opportunities to make great plays. But either Frerotte overthrows, a WR drops it, Frerotte fumbles, a lineman holds.

I really don't see how u can blame Linehan.

Because the blame was all on Frerotte tonight. You're just going by the stats. Watch the game before you put him down.

Reggie Howard should be listed twice.

First, I saw the game

I'd like to have Gus back next year but only as a backup. There were too many throws tonight that he under or over threw. Now our o-line doesn't help him but I don't think he's the answer as far as starting QB.

I actually like Scott Linehan and I agree with his philosophy but I definitely want to see more runs. He's the type of guy who wants to call the game that a defense gives him. If Tampa has 8 or 9 guys in the box, he wants to pass. The problem is we don't have all of the components, i.e. a quarterback who can exploit one on one coverage or, an o-line that is going to help protect him for more than 3 seconds. When we get the right players in place I think we'll be good.

I didn't like the Reggie Howard signing when we did it, and I'll be glad when he's gone.

I agree on not calling a Pass on a 2nd and 12 because no matter what you are getting blitzed (most likley).

However on 3rd and 1, the D is gonna stuff the middle and bring the secondary closer. Passing is a normal call in that situation. Because if it doesnt work out... you can always throw away the ball and you still only have 1 yard to get the 1st. This is something EVERYONE does.

Its not Linehans Job to get open or Linehans job to protect the passer. However it IS his and Sabans Job to prepare them during the week... a week that, well lets face it, was cut way too short for a storm thats now predicted to hit on Tuesday.

You guys got shafted out of a full days practice (that was VERY MUCH needed).

It wasnt the offense today that lost the game though (bare in mind this is coming from a guy who watched the live game stats on NFL.com cause the game wasnt being shown). In my opinion it was your Defense who couldnt contain the run which opened up your backfield to the Chiefs.
Lets put blame where blame belongs. Its your Deffensive line and secondary that really dropped the ball today.... or... couldnt cause them to.

I dont think all is lost on you guys though. You have a good team, you just dont have a leader. Thats what you guys are lacking.

You guys are still a good team. Any given sunday any team can beat any team, it just hasnt been a good crap shoot for you guys. But Keep yuor heads up. You should turn things around.
