this assumes that we will be picking around 10-15th in each round give or take.

1st. Antoine Cason CB University of Arizona-The kid is a player, he consistently covers some of the top wide recievers in college football playing in the Pac-10 and faces pro style offenses (Norm Chow's system at USC, Jeff Tedford at Cal). In fact, ask Derek Hagan if this kid can play, he faced him in college. he can tackle, he can cover, and he can pick it off. he's just a flat out play maker. not the greatest speed, but always seems to find himself around the play.

2nd. to be honest, i havent really seen too many players that grade out well for the second round, i would think that Linebacker would be the pick here, but i no one comes to mind. so, if any of you draft experts, and by that i mean a long the lines of CK or Boomer, not some guy who does his hair like Mel Kiper Jr and thus thinks he has draft powers.

3rd. Arron Sears T Tennessee- we need to bring in some first day talent to the O Line, and i think that we might have a steal with Sears. i think Houck can coach him up to be a starter by his second season, and a solid depth guy his first. let him battle it out in camp with McIntosh, Carey and Shelton.

thats what i've got. flame away. and offer me second round suggestions.

If you pay attention to Saban's press conferences you will get the sense that Saban thinks highly of Will Allen, Andre Goodman, and Travis Daniels. He called all three players, starters in this league. Then, Will Poole will be back next year as well.

I just get the feeling that at best Saban drafts a CB no earlier than the 3rd round for depth.

No way do I see us drafting one in the 1st round. I see Saban going OLB/DE, WR, or LT in the 1st.

i think that Will Allen and Daniels are keepers, Goodman, i think he is great in run support, but i want a corner who gets INTs and makes plays, he doesnt get burned, but he isnt a playmaker, and Poole is a huge question mark in my opinion, we have no idea if he can stay healthy and if he does what he can do. i think that having Allen and Cason as the starters and Daniels as the nickel gives us a really nice set of corners. not to mention i think that we can get better value for a LB or T in the later rounds.

I dont get to see any college footy so I can only go by what i read. But would Stephen Nicholas be a reach in the second round?

i agree but i saw goodman make a play for once last week and i was in awe. reminded me of surtain back iunt the days or madison. was amazing to see it again but unfortunately he dropped it and etiher way wouldn't have counted as he had a hands to teh face penalty. I say we draft a playmaking CB or sign CLements then thats a very nice 4 DB setup. with J allen and Bell in the secondary, thats one HELL of a fast core back there. that means we get 1 DB taht breaks up passes in Allen, 2 in the S spot that make plays, and 1 in daniels that makes plays at times as well via INT. Clements im not sure on how he is in that department but one hell of a tackler if I am not mistakening. i say we go OLB, DE, WR, or LT in round 1.

STOP THE WILL POOL TALK. THE GUY HAS DONE NOTHING. Will Pool will be nothing in this league. He WON"T even make the team next year.

man I would love Sears but I would be surprised if he's there at number 3

I doubt he will be. Especially if Baker and Gaither don't declare. There's not many OT's ahead of Sears.

I wouldn't mind Cason at all, but also wouldn't mind Posluszny or Woodley. Then, Staley or Sears in the second and Tarell Brown or Jonathan Wade in round 3.

I think they will draft OL and guys on Defense, but it all depends on how they spend that 21 Mil.

Lamar Woodly, first round, OLB to rush passer to learn from JT
I have Sears on my mock for the second round as well.
Xavier Adibi OLB, Virginia Tech in the 3rd a beast at lb and can cover.
And Garret Wolf in the 4th, yes hes small, but what a quick RB with a nose for the open field. Someone we can give the ball to when ronnie needs a break, in case ricky does not make it back.

I like Cason . . . but He is a JR, I feel he will be the top rated CB in the draft even he declares . . . and he is a playmaker . . . could have better speed which will always keep him from being "Champ Bailey/shut down CB", but he definetly can be a number one CB in this league.

You even know he wont make the team.

Well, we DID cut him this year. Unless he has a miracle medical turnaround AND shakes off two years worth of rust during training camp, he probably won't make the team.
