Now that we have a GM & Head Coach in place what are 3 things you think that will take us from the bottom to the top. Here are my top 3.

1. Out with the old and in with the new: I love what Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas has done for us over the years but if we get a decent offer for JT we got to take it, has to be at least a 2nd rounder. Zach probably won't yield anything decent so he has to take a pay-cut but I would keep him for his heart and intensity look at what T.Bruschi & J.Seau are doing in N.E. with their age and injury problems. Now for the definite cuts T.Green,Marty Booker, David Martin, Cameron Worrell. Ricky Williams has to be shopped as well we need to part with this headache.

2. Draft: The consensus #1 is Glenn Dorsey which would be a huge upgrade on the D-Line but depending on free agency we could upgrade with Green Bay's Corey Williams or Tennessee's Albert Hanyesworth. Also Jake Scott has been mention which wouldn't be bad either way we need to address the line on both sides of the ball. Now I'm not going to make a mock 7 round draft here but one player who I think can make an impact is USC tight end Fred Davis who should be there in the 2nd round with our 32 pick.

3. Free Agency: With holes all over the place every positions needs some tweaking except RB's I think with R. Brown,L.Booker,R.Williams and possibly J. Chatman back we are good there. I think we can get a good young talent at either CB,O-Line,D-Line,or WR in free agency I focus my attention on corner like A.Samuel, M. Trufant, or Safety G.Wilson. I like M.Trufant
As far as D-Line everyone like Hanyesworth but I like Corey Williams and Paul Spicer. O-Line I like Max Starks 25 years old 6'7 337lbs, Travelle Wharton 26 years old 6'4 314lbs, Jordan Gross 27 years old 6'4 300lbs.
WRs not many in free agency worth a damn I like B.Berrian alot but thats about it unless R.Moss doesn't want to be a Pat anymore. As far a trades either C. Johnson or Roy Williams would be fine.

So to wrap it up I would love to field a team like this:
QB's 1. J.Beck 2. Veteran QB 3. Rookie QB
RB's 1. R. Brown 2. L.Booker 3. R.Williams 4. J.Chatman
FB's 1. R. Mauia
TE's 1. Fred Davis 2. J. Pelle
WR's 1. T. Ginn 2. Chad Johnson 3. D.Hagan 4.Greg Carmillo 5. Rookie WR
OL LT M.Starks LG R.Hadnot C S.Satele RG Rookie or Developmental player RT V. Carey
D-Line V. Holiday,M.Roth,G.Dorsey,J.Taylor
LB's J.Porter,C. Crowder, Z.Thomas, A.Wright
CB's M.Trufant, Will Allen, M. Lehan, A.Goodman
Safety's G.Wilson,Yeremiah Bell, Jason Allen
Key Free Agent Additions: WR.Chad Johnson,OL Max Starks,CB M.Trufant Safety G.Wilson
Key Draft Prospects: DT G.Dorsey TE Fred Davis also QB's,LB's,WR's,OL should be addressed. Thats what I would like to see, in todays NFL you have to build through both the draft and free agency not just one or the other. Look at N.E. great drafts and wise key free agents like R.Moss,W.Welker,A.Thomas,R.Colvin,J.Seau all instrumental to their success.

chad johnson is not a free agent. everyone thinks he is but he isnt. we'd have to trade for him and today lewis said hes not trading chad. but i hear roy williams is up on the block for maybe a 2nd. :)

Cammeron Worrel did a good job for where he came from, to take someone from the street and a couple weeks later having starting he did okay. BTW has anybody noticed that everytime we have the first or second pick in the draft there are no great players available.

Two problems with trading Taylor.

Number 1- I sincerely doubt he fetches Miami a second rounder, and anything below that isn't getting full value in return.

Number 2 - I applaud the idea of going young on defense, but Miami still needs some vets to show the kids the ropes. Throwing a bunch of young and inexperienced players out there on defense is recipe for disaster. Having say Chris Long or Glenn Dorsey lined up next to/across from a seasoned veteran like Jason Taylor not only takes pressure off them right away, but it gives them a hell of a learning resource to work with. Put Dorsey or Long with JT for two years, and mark my words, their already immense talent will be exceptionalized with proper teaching by a vet leader.

As for Zach, I'm really on the fence. On one hand, I do think that he's at the point where he's got nowhere else to go from here but down. I think last season's injuries were concerning enough for me as a Phins fan that I'm kind of hoping Parcells and Ireland start looking at LB either in free agency (Kawika Mitchell and DeMorrio Williams are a few I personally like), via the draft (if Dan Connor falls, I'd be estatic) or via trade (Bobby Carpenter perhaps). On the flip, I also feel kind of torn because of what Zach has meant to this organization, so I don't think releasing him outright is prudent.

Now for the definite cuts T.Green,Marty Booker, David Martin, Cameron Worrell. Ricky Williams has to be shopped as well we need to part with this headache.

Agree on all cases.. Green and Booker are goners, Martin likely too. Same with Worrell. As for Williams being shopped, to be honest, if Miami gets even a seventh rounder for him, Miami needs to pull the trigger ASAP. As is, they'd be exceptionally lucky to get even that.

I'm no Swami (ESPN reference), but I'm going to go on record and state that I'm almost 100 percent sure Haynesworth won't be a Dolphin. Trust me, the little stunt last year with he and Andre Gurorde (sic) won't be forgotten by Parcells, Sparano or Ireland. Plus, I'm really against the fact that Haynesworth had more or less been a career underachiever until this season, which happens to fall on the same season he's to become a free agent. I think Parcells and Co have the same mindset.

As for Williams, if the Pack doesn't re-sign him, he could be a definite option. Same with Isaac Sopoaga of San Francisco. Even though Dorsey's the concensus #1 overall, I still think the Phins are going Chris Long (his ties to Groh will weigh heavy) or trading down.

I'd really like to see the Dolphins get either of the Colt Olinemen (Scott or Leljia--sic). Getting one of them isn't too unrealistic. Now that Bob Sanders re-upped, I fully expect them to franchise tag Dallas Clark, which would more or less leave one of these two for the taking. Miami can't go wrong either way.

As for Fred Davis, I think Miami's best chance of getting him would be at 32. I don't envision him falling to Miami's second pick. When it comes to that pick, I'd rather see Miami go after a LB or CB before taking a TE, then spend their second pick of the round on TE (John Carlson?) if one of value is available.

I see Samuel commanding Nate Clements money, which is enough for me to say "Thanks but No Thanks". I also see Trufant going the same direction. Gibril Wilson, I'm all in favor of. He shouldn't command too big of a contract, and he's a guy who works hard, doesn't take plays off and is productive.

OLine, I like each of the Colt ones, or the names you mentioned.

WR, a name I'm going to continue to float out there is Bryant Johnson. I've seen enough of the guy first hand (both at PSU and with the Cardinals) to state that he's going to be one of those under the radar signings that will prove some GM to be smart. His only downside is the fact that he's stuck behind two Pro Bowl WR and his current coach isn't for airing it out with the three sets. Despite being the 5th option on offense, he still managed to put up almost 600 yards this season. In an offense where he would be the second WR or the go-to-WR, I can see him eclipsing 1k + with 10 TD regularly.

As for Ocho, wouldn't be too against it.. Neither would I be against the idea of trading for Roy Williams. In both cases, it would largely depend on Cincinnati's or Detroit's asking price.

Would Ocho and Cincinnati's first (9th overall) for the #1 overall burn anyone badly? How about Williams, Detroit's 1st (15) and a third for the top pick make logical sense for either team?

And as for my team.. Or how I see it playing out..

im in agreement with the trading jason taylor for a #2 and cutting zach thomas thing. why? because we can move joey porter to the ROLB spot with quentin moses being the backup. we can draft a big LB with the pick we get for taylor and sign a LB like lance briggs with the cap space we free up from taylor and thomas.

that would field a LB corps of ROLB porter, RILB, briggs, LILB crowder, and LOLB #2 pick rookie. then kelvin smith would backup crowder and re-sign pope to backup briggs. abe wright, who i like, can backup the rookie we draft with the #2 we get from taylor.

that's one way to revamp the LB corps.
