With Daunte, Chambers, Brown, and an OK O-Line we should be looking at a top 5 NFL offense. I can smell a 30 point a game average in scoring, something that the phins have been missing since the Marino years. All the pieces are in place with some more defensive help....A Championship in 3 years or less or else here we go again for me...........Let's pray.

Saban is going to be able to mix youth and expierience well enough to keep us competitive steadily, no rebuilding process everytime a few key players retire.
 
I like that your excited for the team, and I think Saban has put together a good team so far. I hope we can go all the way. But there is alot of work to go
 
While you are right, you are also wrong, and here's why. We no longer suffer from terrible drafting. Saban will build that defense via draft. Think about the players that will start becoming solid veterans when we finally do lose guys like Thomas and Taylor. We will have Crowder, Roth, Jason Allen, Poole, Daniels, Vickerson and who ever we draft in the comming years. I think we are going to be good as long as Saban is here.

So it's more like, 15 years or bust!!!:)
 
I'd like to see a championship with JT, Zach, and co still with us

I'm excited about the future of the Dolphins as well, but the "or bust" part bothers me. Nick Saban is a really good coach and he will make us competitive (really competitive, not the "competitive" we were under Wannstedt). Just have faith and be patient and I know we'll get there.
 
I agree except I believe we're at least IN the SB in only two years. I desperately want to see us win one before Zack and JT retire, they deserve it IMO.

we owe it to guys like ZT and JT to get a championship before they end their careers, they've stuck around through the good and the bad and they will always be true dolphins...we finally have a team that is very legit and if they play to their abilities they can lead us to a championship

I'm thinking 2007 season is the one for us. RW is back. Cpep has a year under his belt. O-line should be very solid and the DB's should be much better than this coming season. Man, I wish the SB was in Miami next year.
 
Isn't kind of scary zach and taylor are coming to the point in their career where we are hoping they get a ring before they retire?

It frightens me, I can't imagine a Miami team without a thomas and taylor combination.
 
I think that Zach and Taylor will definietly get their rings!!! You figure that they have a few good years left, and in that time the young guys on both sides of the ball will start to reach their peak (ronnie, allen, daniels, crowder, etc.) Culpepper will also master the offense by then...I say we will be good next year and I don't see us ever totally busting with Saban (we will have some not so great seasons after all the stars leave, but I imagine Saban will be like a Shula where we're almost always in contetion at the very least)...but in another year or two, we could have that "scary" good potential. I'm psyched!!!
