3rd and 8 why run?

Why don't we tell tannehill if you have an open receiver throw the ball and ice the game if its not there run and the clock still runs. But no we just run the ball and give it back to Rodgers with over 2 minutes. The defense played there asses off and philbin the wimp just puts more pressure on them by saying its all up to you guys because I'm too afraid to call for a pass on 3rd and 8. Unbelievable!!
 
the last 5 mins of this game was some of the worst decisions i've seen the staff make. Giving away timeouts to a rattled offense for the game, unable to find a way to get 1 first down to seal it ourselves, and wasting a timeout before the packers set for the final to see what they are even going to run, ruined this game. Such a good game left to waste on some dumbass calls
 
That timeout was beyond belief....but it shouldn't have got to that point. We had to get one first down on our final posession
 
This couldn't shock you, we always play to lose and collapse when it counts no matter what side of ball we are on.
 
with 2 backup corners in the game at that.. smh.. HORRIBLE game management
 
Came here to post this. Absolutely no trust in Tannehill. If it were the Patriots, Broncos, Chargers, etc, you can GUARANTEE they are throwing on 3rd and 8 to close out the game.
 
the last 5 minutes was a complete joke. Play to win and go for it have a set. U get a first game over.
 
Philbin always coaches scared and plays not to lose. Taking the time out after Green Bay had just fumbled and were facing a 4th and 10 was just Joe being clueless.

Yep we basically helped them out.they were rushing u could tell they were out of sorts and we call a time out for them
 
I don't care how you feel about Tannehill. He was 11 for 12 in the 2nd half. No reason not to trust him at that point
 
My wife was watching this with me. I told her that play would lose the game for us. Joe may be an assitant coach, but he is no decision maker. This needs to stop.
 
To knock off an additional :46 seconds from the clock because GB didn't have any more timeouts and up until that point the defense had played their asses off.
 
I wish we had ran it on 2nd down to milk the clock and thrown on 3rd. That 2nd down play was pathetic. If we would have at least ran it both times they would have gotten it back at or after the 2 minute warning. Instead at the 2 min warning they were already in our territory
 
That is one of the few coaching decisions I agree with. Like martel said I wish they would have run it on second down too. We were gashing them with the run, and we needed to run the clock down.
 
If I'm not mistaken we ran on 1st and 3rd. If that was going to be our strategy , Why not run on 2nd as well ? I mean you didn't even attempt to convert 3rd down.
