Right. There's a number of us who are not 100% sold on Rosen. But wait! There's more
you could present the most "neutral" opinion/evaluation based on the pros and cons &
just let the reader/viewer/pod caster ultimately fill in the blanks in terms of formulating
    their "very own conclusion!"

For example -- I saw a video on Rosen where a dude who apparently was familiar with him
back in college was really concerned about the hitch he had developed in AZ. I went back and
watched more AZ stuff and sure enough that hitch (deadly problem @NFL level IMO) was there.
As an inquiring mind I would certainly dig more in-depth crit as well as promo on Rosen by folks
who readily pay attention to such "nuance" and in certain terms even the more obvious --
as long as there's some info that penetrates beyond the veneer -- and it's being presented
sans agenda. For me -- that's a winner with any/all players as a formula for info.

So... Perhaps and maybe -- don't worry about those who (for whatever reason) won't agree
with your "cons" but just produce the best, most unbiased (honest) product you can while
keeping in mind (perspective) you're talking to a "Dolphins audience." I'm down with
all of that and available as a ad hoc producer (ad hoc comp negotiable)!

Beyond that. I'm a certified Luddite because I don't do twitter.

Nice little subtle jab asking if it’s even possible for me to be happy with Josh Rosen’s on field play. Because heaven knows I’m so biased the guy could have a Patrick Mahomes season and I would still be sh_tting all over it, right?

I can’t put some sort of static threshold on it because there are so many different ways to, for example, get to a 90 passer rating that it would be irresponsible for me to just throw out a nominal number and then that’s it. The truth is the evaluation is ongoing. It is always ongoing. This is where people make mistakes. They have a tendency to cut off their evaluations of players and then that player just is what they’ve decided until proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they’re not what you thought.

If I was like that then I’d be all over the Josh Rosen trade, because I evaluated Josh Rosen as worthy of a 1st round pick one year ago. But the evaluation is ongoing, new data is available, and the incorporation of that new data in with the old tells me (and the NFL) that he’s not worth that anymore. If more data comes in that points to something different, guess what? My evaluation may change again! Fancy that.

What I would want from him is for him to show me that he’s an above average quarterback in this league, with highly attractive traits, and developing toward showing consistent, elite performance. Otherwise I’m going to continue evaluating quarterbacks and continue fawning over the great ones and issuing recommendations that the Dolphins go after them, just as I did with the likes of Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes, etc.

What you describe to some degree is exactly what I do and what I’ve always done.

What seems to be objectionable to people is that I also issue my opinion, which side I came out on or come out on, and what got me there.

    OH THE HUMANITY!

If you’re saying I’m not supposed to issue an opinion based on my evaluations, again my podcast may not be for people who expect that.

Chill. Didn't say "that." There's a difference between an open ended opinion and a definitive conclusion.

    My opinion. Of course!

There's a great saying in writing...

    Show.

    Don't tell.

Spot on. Ryan Tannehill had a stretch of 90+ rating games and it didn't mean much down the stretch, on the road or against physical opponents. Give me a QB that can win games in December or that can play in Baltimore competitively.

I'm not going to judge Rosen on a TD ratio or middle of the pack rating. I'll judge him on his 4th quarter performance, his third down conversion rate and overall pocket presence.

1000 percent on board with CK here to me it's all about the timing of aquiring Rosen that makes the trade questionable this year. It's not really fair to Rosen or the Dolphins that there is such a small window to evaluate Rosen true worth to the franchise.
Just to clear the air a little about the cost of the Rosen trade which lots of posters point out about how we landed that extra second rounder next year. The Rosen trade cost the 42nd pick this year plus our 4th round pick we gave to the Saints, plus next year's 5th round pick we gave to Arizona and we aquired the Saints 6th round pick we used on the selection of Prince this year So you have to ask yourself we don't make that trade and aquire McCoy the center at 42 rather than the Saints, plus our keep our 4 th rounder how does that affect our draft this year.

The other picks in the draft I have been a bit down on outside of our last pick at running back. After listening to the podcast I now see it appears the club values scheme fit as much or more than production. Not my cup of tea but if they can coach them up I do not care. If we cannot then this draft and trade appears very risky.

You present your opinion as fact, and respond with arrogance and aggressivity to anyone who doesnt agree with it...

Case in point: You audience is telling you what they think of your show, in a thread YOU created about YOUR show. You obviously didnt like the anwser and your response was:
Sounds to me like you're very good at spewing your opinion and content, but you might be the one with a "listening" problem...

Fair enough and that wasn't an attempt at a Jab. There are folks out there, your co-host being one of them(based on his tweet), that aren't going to budge on their opinion of Rosen even if he's a future hall of famer. Based on that I purposely dropped it in there to assess the malleability of your convictions.

I don't think anyone feels 100% about Rosen. I don't think anyone thinks he's without fault. I'm just as skeptical about what he can do in Miami. But that doesn't preclude me from wishing him success and evaluating him on the field of play. He doesn't get a free pass! But he does get the benefit of a clean slate to prove what he can do.

He wanted Greedy Williams at 13?

I wanted Haskins or maybe Lock but dam I am elated that we got Rosen. I am glad we didn't get Haskins or Lock. If Rosen would have come out this year he'd be the top QB taken.

    Dude. It's called clutch!

    >>>meaning I agree<<<

    Winning when it really matters!

You know when your dude has the pig and it's crunch time -- and you have confidence
(as opposed to that all too familiar queasy Thill feeling) that YOUR DUDE is gonna
get it done and the win is in grasp (as long as the D holds up their end)!

After reading this thread I feel like I just read a football game, 3ypc vs. TFL. Some hard hitting, close score, not sure who is going to come out on top.

...just the facts ma'am (r u old 'nuff 2 remember?)

    QB is simple.

    1) Get a first down.

    2) Get another first down.

    3) And another first down.

    Don't be a clown!

    4) Get the pig in the Nzone!

    Now. You're a hero.

    7pts = you're a WINNER!

    3pts = you're a WIENER!

    3 & out = you're a LOSER!

    :)

    Toughen up, buttercup.

If someone comes on and starts misrepresenting what I’ve said, especially if they start being kind of rude and insulting about it, I’m gonna come in and let them know they heard wrong.

Didn’t realize you were so sensitive about our listeners. They’re adults. I think they can handle it.

I know the reference, but I'm about 20 years too young to have watched it on TV.

Edit: Actually, I just looked it up, and I'm more like 25-30 years too young.

Y’all gotta grow up a lil bit

You don’t like the product, stop supporting it

It’s a podcast. It is opinion based. Whining about someone’s opinion a taking jabs at them is elementary. Let it go
