4:15 PM kickoffs are no more, see you at 4:25 PM

God even later to bed now..............thank's

I am glad we are not affected as 1:00pm games are what we need. Those were the only smart words that ever came out of Jimmy Johnson's mouth. He saw the direct benefit to the team playing early on Sundays. Screw the "big stage". All I care about is wins.

if only it would help me with my dvr settings...gives me 10 more minutes to set my dvr for the late game though which is nice but unless they change the increments for recording on the dvr its still gonna overlap for me...

1 and 430 pm makes the most sense but for some reason they haven't done it...i get it that networks want to limit dead air time pretty much but seriously make em 3 1/2 hrs apart...i can't see them effecting the primetime sched there junc in any way given how much those networks pay to be the exclusive game in that prime time window...those games don't start til 820 anyways...

I don't see it affecting prime time anytime soon but it's headed that way where it will be 4 and 8 PM instead of the old 1 and 4. That would make the Mon Night package more desireable and who knows? by that time we could see Weds games too.

Makes sense from both a fan's perspective and from a "Mo Money, Mo Money" league perspective considering they can sell more ad space and at a premium price to advertisers who know that other than a bathroom break those fans are staying put in their LazyBoys.

Dead air before a game, like a pre-game show, is actually good for a network. Dead air after a game is bad because nobody watches. It sounds like they have studied the games and have optimized the starting point to minimize dead air after a game. They are finally compensating for all the review time that has extended games 15-20 minutes.

all it will mean is extra commercial time, games soon will be spilling over into the 4:25 area on average. The NFL never does anything in the best interest of the fans, it's always about the best interest in getting the most amount of money from the fans and I understand that but it's an insult to pretend like they are doing this for the fans.
